  1. Guess not, According to Vogl, Adams stated that Girgensons has symptoms while Vinnie and Skinner are asymptomatic.
  2. Apparently but that was supposed to end.
  3. I was thinking more Monty Python
  4. Still wouldn’t have worked. The virus can incubate from 3 days to 14 days before symptoms even show if at all. Once a lockdown occurs someone who may not even have symptoms gets locked down with healthy people and the virus spreads. This virus also mutates and quickly. Remember we haven’t eradicated the Flu or common cold. How are we ever getting rid of this? The hope is it keeps mutating to weaker and weaker versions like Omicron and we get on with life. Don’t forget the Flu still kills thousands here each year. You also can’t relay on anything China says they did or didn’t do. The research I’ve read says millions may have died there.
  5. We need more information. This protocol stuff is BS. Are they even sick? Were they just in contact with someone who is sick or tested positive. Are they vaccinated? Etc. I’d love to know how many players have actually been sick and how severely. The NHL probably needs to bring back the taxi squads.
  6. Where is a Blancmange when you need one.
  7. We tried that and it doesn’t work. All it does is infect more people stuck in the same home or facility as a sick person.
  8. So who goes now if anyone?
  9. Sorry, but that is never going to happen. Like the Flu, Covid is going to be here forever. There literally is no way to eliminate this virus. We haven't exactly eliminated the common cold (also a COVID virus) or the flu in hundreds of years. At some point the world is just going to have to live with it.
  10. Closing shop starting Wednesday but allegedly resuming the 27th. This was inevitable as soon as they stopped cross border travel. 49 games cancelled so far. If I had to guess, the pause will last longer.

  12. Any idea if he is even sick?
  13. Which is why I said the new rules that came out today may in fact prevent us from sending them down. However as @Brawndo just posted, the new rules apparently allow guys to be sent down
  14. Depending on the new COVID rules they may not be able to send them down.
  15. I think we can put a fork in the Olympics. China will win their first gold medals in hockey unopposed.
  16. The Bills lost to Pitt by 7, Tenn by 3, Jax by 3, NE by 4 and TB in OT by 6. Honestly the Bills should have won most of these games. However, I haven't changed my mind about Frazier and his defense. He needs to occasionally at least being in a 3rd LB to help stop the run.
  17. Weird Al’s producers must have thought it would have been to controversial to release.
  18. Kinds of sounds like a Weird Al parody of a B-52s song
  19. While Skinner is grossly overpaid, his contract isn’t an issue for the foreseeable future. We are a cap minimum team now and will be again next season. Hagg, Butcher, Miller and Eakin’s 10.6 mill in contracts expire after this year and KO, Girgensons and Bjork’s 9.8 mil in contracts expire after next season. VO is the only internal player getting “big” after this season, and even with that we are still 9-10 mill below the cap floor for next season. After 22/23 only Thompson and Cozens can expect big raises. Only by 2025 should Skinner’s deal possibly become an issue again assuming KA doesn’t go on some crazy spending spree.
  20. JAGs are JAGs. Pouliot, Falk, Wilson, Chad Johnson were just as effective as guys like Pysyk, Hayden, Caggiula and Tokarski. As I’ve said before as soon as the JAGs are gone the better. Jbot sent most of the JAGs packing in year 2, hopefully KA will do the same in his 3rd season.
  21. Correct. We’d be about 8-10 mill short with the lineup Vogl suggests. Obviously we can make that up with taking on other contracts of injured players like Boychuk’s, but I’d much rather have a solid veteran stay at home D to mentor all the kids and invest in a real goaltender as insurance for UPL and more veteran leadership. I suggested previous going after someone like Orlov from Wash who carries a cap hit of 5.1 for next year.
  22. The truth is the sooner neither guy plays for us the better.
  23. Rarely, but he does kill penalties.
