Seriously? A 6th rd pick, by TM whose stats decreased in the WHL the year he was to be signed and when he wasn't signed he returned to the draft and wasn't drafted.

The move is surprising given his dead cap hit of 7.7 vs a savings of only 1.5. I guess he no longer fit the profile of how they want to play going forward.

It was a joke. If you look at all my mock rosters for next year I have VO returning for 3 years @ 4.5 per season.

The have a team. It's called the Buffalo Sabres. Seriously, the Buffalo metro area has the highest % of people of Polish decent in the US. Cheektowaga is almost 40% Polish. Why shouldn't Buffalo be designated Poland's team.

What did we learn tonight? The Sabres still have miles and miles to go. Miller is a terrible defensive hockey player. I said this the day Jbot traded for him and nothing in his time here has changed my mind.

I guess VO's shot is back. Trade value increasing.

If you were running the LV franchise, given the injuries cap issues and place in the standings, would you become a seller at the deadline and try to fall out of the playoffs and hope to keep your pick?

Neither guy should have ever been signed and neither guy should play again for this team ever. Eakin isn’t an NHL players any longer and Hayden never was one. They should be sent packing and they can take Bjork with them. Butcher, Miller, and Hagg need to follow them out of town. Like Hayden and Eakin, Butcher should have never been acquired.

What do the Bills at this point. As I mentioned above the Bills now have 9 DE/DT 1 QB, 2 RBs, only 6 OL (Morse, Brown, Doyle, Ford, Dawkins and Safford), 4 WR (Davis, Diggs, McKenzie and Kumerow), 3 TE (Sweeney, Knox and Howard), 5 specialists (Haack (P), Ferguson (LS), Stevenson (KR), Gilliam (FB) & Bass (PK), They actually have more CB and S then a thoughts. While, Poyer, and Hyde, but also Dane Jackson, Taron Johnson, Cam Lewis, Siran Heal, Jaquan Johnson and Damar Hamlin (who I don't remember ever playing). The Bills website list 5 LBs (Milano, Andrew Smith, Matakevich, Dodson, and Edmunds That 44 players so far? What else do they need. I figure at least 2 more OL, a QB, a RB, at least one more WR, better depth at LB and a starting CB.

How many D Linemen do they have now? Basham, Epenesa, Rousseau, DaQuan Jones, Ed Oliver, Lotulelei, Settle, Miller & Phillips.

It won't matter. To many tank Sabres on their team already.

I think they could use a couple of linebackers, a Safety and a WR now as well. So, Clemson's Booth (CB) in the 1st, UGA's Quay Walker (LB) in the 2nd, Bama's Metchie (WR ) in the 3rd and UGA's Justin Shaffer (OL) in the 4th.

They do seem to firm up closer to the actual draft. It's also why I say BPA doesn't really exist. To many variables on each teams draft board and each service's list. The math says the guys drafted after about 75-80 to the end of the draft have about the same chance of being an NHLer and the that % isn't very good.

The Sabres don't have a 3rd in 2023 and I expect KA will have one by the Deadline. I'm also ok with getting picks and cap dumps for our limited trade pieces. These picks can then be packaged to help acquire the goaltending and Power partner that we need. As to VO being traded, while I'm firmly in the camp that KA should listen to offers and being open to taking a good one because I don't see him as a core piece, I believe it's much more likely that KA re-signs to a 3-4 year deal. To me the players to watch are Pysyk and Hinostroza. Both have done more then we hoped this season and would be good depth to keep next year. The question is where do they fit in KA's vision of the team if at all. The Athletic article on the partner for Power discusses what a good piece Pysyk is in the locker room. That could easily tip the scales in his favor regarding being re-signed.

Despite Caps fans comments to the contrary, I think Jensen is available. DeMelo is interesting especially considering they exposed him in the expansion draft. I love Stralman the player, and I guess he still has something in the tank. A two year deal would work and help get us to the cap floor. I like Braun as well as a value pickup. I'm surprised Jan Ruutta wasn't on their list. They also mention Pysyk as an internal candidate. I'm not a fan of this idea except bring Pysyk back as a 7/8 guy.

The Braves built their new stadium a few miles from my house. I am now able to attend games periodically and it has brought me back as a fan. The game is still excellent in person. I get that teams simply waiting for a home run can be very boring. I'd kindly suggest going to games again and see if you feel the same way.

I love that Beane is going for it this season before Josh Allen's contract becomes a huge cap weight. I'm also very proud of the Braves GM who despite huge media and fan related pressure made the gutsy decision to move on from Freddie Freeman (who I really like as a player and person) to live within his budget and actually IMHO have a better team in the end. By not re-signing Freeman but instead trading for Olson, AA freed up 15 to 18 mill to fix other holes in his World Series lineup. So far he has used the savings to retain NLCS MVP Eddie Rosario and to pick up very solid reliever McHugh. Gutsy and smart. I wish Freddie great success in his future, but am looking forward to another run by my Braves.
