  1. Considering these are the only 4 teams deserving of a shot to win the thing, why exactly does college football need a 12 team playoffs besides money?
  2. GA, Michigan and TCU take care of business. USC makes a statement. Clemson, LSU, and OSU lay an egg and Oregon choked. CFP top 4 have to be GA, Michigan, TCU and USC. Is there anyone else with a claim? OSU? Alabama? I don’t think so. Tenn beat Bama, shouldn’t they be ranked ahead of them?
  3. 5-1 LV in the 3rd. LV had 35 shots in the 1st 2 periods. ROC has 9 for the game.
  4. I agree on the commercials. It’s worse when the teams score fast, like in the Michigan vs OSU game. All those fast scores lead to way to many commericals.
  5. Rivalry week is here Top games - Michigan vs OSU; ND vs USC other key games - Purude vs IU - If Purdue wins they may go to the Big 10 championship game. Ga vs Tech & TCU vs Iowa St - teams trying to stay unbeaten. Clemson vs SC - Clemson needs to win to stay in the CFP contention, but SC just beat Tenn. Oregon (9-2) vs Oregon St (8-3) - should be a fun game to watch. Kansas St vs Kansas - K St win gets K St into Big 12 championship vs TCU. Tulane vs Cinn - winner goes to a big bowl game. Lastly Bama vs Auburn in a game that once meant something.
  6. No one is asking for change. No one is asking for KA to move core players out or to toss out rebuild plan 3.0. All we are asking for is intelligent management to support the team when obvious holes in the lineup occur either through injury or poor performance. Is that really too much to ask from the fans who have suffered through terrible teams for over a decade, when the team has a playoff caliber offense, 15 plus million in cap space, but mediocre defense and goaltending?
  7. Your are missing our lack of competent management
  8. Yes, but they also have a proven experienced veteran D group. G-d forbid we acquire someone like that.
  9. Seriously folks, which current top team have the Sabres beaten this season? Pittsburgh? Bos, LV, NJ, TB, Car, Sea? All losses and we didn’t even compete in most of those games. Yes injuries were a factor, but this team just doesn’t compete each night.
  10. The Sabres are out-manned, out-coached, out-worked and therefore have been out-played. This Devils team looks much ours back in 2005/6 - relentless. To bad we don’t play with the same pace.
  11. I’ve moved on from the Sabres tonight. College football more interesting.
  12. Yes really. He’s in his 5th season, with nearly 300 games played.
  13. Sabres are still not ready for prime time.
  14. Anderson needs to stop that shot.
  15. The Sabres stars are in their prime, including Vo, Dahlin, Tnt, Tuch, and Skinner. The window is now open, but our GM doesn’t see it.
  16. Apparently KA doesn’t absorb much from those conversations. Beane never sits on his hands. Need D line, sign Miller, Lawson and Phillips; need a RB, he goes and gets Hines; need a LB, claim Klein, need a safety bring back Marlowe. KA, on the other hand, 3 D injured do nothing.
  17. Bryson is out “week to week” with a lower body injury. Come on KA make a friggin move. Fitz is not the answer.
  18. It’s why I keep saying acquire a veteran defensive D. If I’m KA, I’m calling Van and making a deal for Schenn even if it includes a 2nd rd pick. Bush is playing with some nagging injuries, Bryson is now out “week to week” and we need more real NHL depth. Schenn is on a 1yr 850K deal and could be flipped at the deadline to recover any cost if management doesn’t want to keep him. I think his presence would make Bryson expendable and make our D much more reliable and consistent.
  19. I’m in full agreement that he can and probably will score 30 this season. He has 10 goals in 20 games ytd. He scores on average about 1 goal for every 3 games for his career. With 62 games left, assuming good health, he should score the 20 needed to reach that plateau even if he sinks back to his career average. The real question is will he be here to at season’s end or could he garner a 1st rd pick at the deadline? Back on topic for a minute. If this is only a developmental year, put Krebs on Mitt’s wing and leave him there all season and coach him up. Otherwise, send him down, let him find his confidence dominating inferior talent and then recall him after the trade deadline (if he isn’t traded) and see if can carry that confidence to better play down the stretch. Also put him on a weight program over the summer so that he isn’t so easy to knock off the puck.
  20. Of course. It happens often Reinhart ranged from 17 to 25 his first 6 seasons and then hit 33 last year. TNT had 18 goals for his career for 4 partial seasons before potting 38 last year.
  21. I think you mean 11/25.
  22. White, Hyde, and Edmunds out, Poyer and Milano in and out of the lineup with additional injuries to two young DL, it's amazing the D has been as good as it has been in general. Losing Miller could be a crippling blow.
  23. Players develop all the time in the AHL. Last I looked TNT and Mitts benefited from time in the A. JJP and Quinn weren’t NHL ready a year ago and improved greatly in their time in the AHL. The question is ultimately do prospect learn and develop their skills in the A or do they just develop physically to enable them to compete in the NHL? I think it’s some of both.
  24. Way to many injuries on D. Seriously how many all-pro guys can a defense lose and still be effective.
