  1. The "none" feature doesn't work. It needs its own checkbox. I'd say no one moves under the timeframe listed.
  2. "Dear KA, Please release $1.4M per season, 17 goal pace Tage Thompson because he made this really stupid play in 2019. Signed, Buffalonill"
  3. 17 goal pace this year when used sparingly for a good chunk of the season.
  4. 💯. The fact that someone would put up 2019 and 2020 numbers to make the point screams agenda. There's no arguing he's a different player now than he was in those seasons.
  5. I get people don't like him because of the O'Reilly trade, because he struggled in his early days with the team, and for some reason because he's tall, but he was a key part of the team playing well under Granato. As his minutes went up, his decision making got better. He got to dangerous areas more often, and he seemed to generate a lot of open ice turnovers due to his reach. All evidence from Granato onwards is that he's easily a good 3rd liner on a good team. This team hasn't had good 3rd liners in forever, so they're not so easy to replace.
  6. So you're saying it wouldn't be possible to go from a 17.2 goal place this year, with limited usage under Krueger, to 20 goals next year?
  7. He was over 17 goal per 82 last year with his usage limited under Ralph.
  8. Thompson will be a 20 goal scorer next year.
  9. Here's an honest question for the diehard analytics guys out there. Ask yourself what the 5 most important analytic quantities are. CF%? XGF%? Etc? Then... How did Moulson and Okposo fare for those measurement points with NYI compared to Buffalo? With an accurate measurement point that correctly assesses a player, there should be no appreciable drop off considering both players came to Buffalo in their primes. I think a lot of analytics need to be taken with a grain of salt and looked at with greater context. Its a tool... but it still takes human reasoning to interpret the numbers and make non-linear decisions on what to look at in a player vs what not to consider.
  10. The 2001-02 Red Wings and their 10 Hall of Famers tops the list for best "team" in my books.
  11. There were FA goalies available which could have been had for the same price as Lehner without giving up the pick. That's what makes it so bad.
  12. It seems like the options in question 3 are the same.
  13. Cool... Then lets do the song!
  14. Wow... Our US born coach has Italian heritage, so every time our team scores, we'll play a song that showcases that heritage! Brilliant!
  15. I think the concept of the NCAA as a minor league for sports is absolutely ridiculous. If there were 1200 kids at my high school... probably 200-300 were in no way, shape, or form university capable (college in the US). But in the NCAA, every single kid that shows some prowess in basketball or football is somehow capable of going to university and actually passing their courses?!?!?! It's good that baseball and hockey have legitimate junior and minor league systems for non-university "educatable" athletes. Instead of the XFL and USFL football leagues, i think the real money for a 2nd pro football league would be to compete against the NCAA. Essentially a junior football league (say 23 and under) where you actually pay the kids. They would also be free to earn all the endorsement money they could get.
  16. It would be easy to make the benefits tax exempt.
  17. Bills sucked forever and they turned it all around in a season or two of being good. That's all it takes
  18. Are you challenging me to a tank fight on the internet?
  19. So.......... Is this another internet fight about the tank?
  20. I think we can thank China and their laboratory that inadvertently or advertantly unleashed the pandemic that created the necessity of the divisional realignment that resulted in us being forced to play in a stacked East Division which caused the team to lose far more games than we would have compared to the standard Northeast division. 🤪
  21. FWIW- My kid plays hockey against Ellis' kid's team (and Adams') that was coached by Ellis. They are always among the best teams in N. America despite having no ringers like most of the other top teams. While its easy to say its because he played in the NHL and has more experience than the other coaches, anyone i know that's talked to him would agree that its really because hes such a student of the game. Also note that there are plenty of other minor hockey coaches that have had similar pro hockey experience as Ellis and they don't move the needle for their teams at all. Also, the fact that he was able to carve out any type of NHL career was not because of God given talent, but it was because of what he had upstairs. Personally, I think we should keep him. Also, i think Girardi brings a lot of credibility for our young D. We should keep him too.
  22. Sure it was tough during the winless streak, but once they started sitting the dead weight in favour of the younger kids I was looking forward to every game. During the tank, there really was no reason to watch your team suck on purpose.
  23. No. They beat the Stanley Cup champions that were cheating by hiding 18M of salary on the IR. And at different points in the season, Pitt, Bos, Wash, and even NYR all had stretches where they looked even better than the Isles.
  24. I'm saying our division was the best division in hockey. I think you put any of the other 7 teams in other divisions and you'd be surprised to see how good they'd do. Look at what NYI did to the superstacked cheating Lightning today.
  25. I enjoyed watching the emergence of Mittelstadt and the ATM line in general, the turnaround by Dahlin, and the respectable play by the prospects on D. The Houser and Tokarski stories were fun. This team was a goalie and a division change away from being a playoff team.
