  1. Thompson hasn’t been the same player since the midway point of last year. Just look at the stats. It’s night and day. He got injured last year and also teams figured out a better way to neutralize him. He has not been overly effective for well over a calendar year now. I highly doubt we will ever see the Tage from October 2022- January 2023 again. Maybe for small streaks here and there, but his league domination is gone.
  2. All I know is this latest idiotness from this losing franchise has made it soooo much easier to tune them out and care even less than I already did during this 13th wasted season. I can’t wait for Okposo to be gone and hopefully about half this current roster. If ever a roster and quite frankly an entire organization needed blowing up, THIS one most certainly does. Of course it’s not the owners fault, or the GM’s fault or the coaching staff’s fault or the players fault. It’s the fans fault for this pathetic effort this year. And remarkably there are posters here who actually believe it IS the fans who are in the wrong here. Unfreakingbelievable.
  3. Sam absolutely stood in front of the net and took punishment consistently wayyyyy more than Tuch has ever done. The vast majority of Reinhart’s goals in Buffalo were of the “garbage” variety. He’s still scoring that way in Florida too.
  4. I’ll be thrilled when Skinner and his asinine contract are off the books here. The sooner the better.
  5. Sabre special. We make em all look like hall of famers.
  6. Over the top comments would be anyone thinking this franchise has the first clue in what they’re doing. lol
  7. I’d disagree. I think Dahlin actually wants to succeed more than any other Sabre. He is used to excelling. That’s why he will most likely want out at some point because he will realize he’s wasting his career away in Buffalo like Jack smartly did.
  8. Thompson will be fighting him for first in line if he has any sense.
  9. Power is next to useless out there. He has ZERO compete. The next time he outmuscles someone for possession will be the first time.
  10. I believe the Kings have lost 11 of their past 14, something like that. But had just won their last game the other night. Sitting in a playoff spot at the moment but still make the move. It’s always amazing how other franchises are at a completely different level of expectation than Buffalo. Losing isn’t accepted in alot of places. It’s so common, plentiful and accepted by the Sabres.
  11. Actually showing some heart tonight. Who is this team?
  12. Power doesn’t have a nasty streak in him at all. I don’t know if that will ever change since that’s a personality issue. In comparison, Tyler Myers was very soft at the beginning. He has gotten a little more nastiness in him as the years have gone by, but even now he’s still pretty soft.
  13. Agreed not with this current coaching staff or GM. And if you fire both Granato and Adams, you always have the chance that the new regime doesn’t like a lot of these current players (who could blame them) and they blow up the roster which could result in another season or two delay. Honestly we could easily be anywhere from 2-3 years away.
  14. I definitely don’t blame fans who thought this year would maybe finally be our breakthrough year after last seasons results. But I still blame KA for not doing enough to upgrade the team in the offseason and being satisfied way too easily. I was uneasy back in July when it was apparent we weren’t adding anyone meaningful to the roster. I started dreading this exact season coming. Where the next step wasn’t taken and it shouldn’t have been assumed by Adams that it would. He had the cap space and assets to do whatever he wanted. He chose to basically stand pat and count on progression of the youngsters.
  15. Yeah I mean that’s been the problem the last couple times around. That’s how we ended up with Ralph and then Granato. No real coaches were interested in coming here. I have no doubt Pegula would really have to offer a huge salary and apparently even that wasn’t enough in the past to get Babcock years ago.
  16. I’m hoping an 0-3 west coast trip would be the final nail in Granato’s coffin, wishful thinking I know. But if they were to lose all three and then have 9-10 days off before their next game, there will never be a more perfect time to make a coaching change. Just food for thought. Although I’m sure even going 0-3 on this trip won’t result in any changes. But maybe now Pegula will have more time to pay attention to his lesser toy and actually get embarrassed enough to call for a change.
  17. I would really really love to see the arena empty on Monday. Between the storm recovery and the Bills game at 4:30, there is a perfect chance for Sabres fans to embarrass Pegula and legitimately refuse to show up for Monday’s game. I’d give anything to see it. But I know there are still too many Sabres fans that are gluttons for punishment and keep going to these games. Pegula won’t change anything until he is embarrassed enough to where he feels he must make a change. Please stop going to these games.
  18. Rob Ray “this could have been the best game the Sabres have played this season”. Just when you think he can’t get any more stupid. When we inevitably fire Granato and Adams, can they take Razor with them??
  19. With the two points, Vancouver has now moved into first place overall in the league. Impressive improvement for a team that last year was brave enough to make a needed coaching change. Sometimes coaching changes work. Not for us really, but we can always hope the next one will work out.
  20. I mean Demko is pretty good. But as an overall statement you are correct. The Sabres almost always make opposing goalies look great.
  21. He coaches circles around anyone that’s behind the Buffalo bench for years. WGAF how he’s dressed?
  22. Well my New Year’s partying is commencing full tilt now. Getting these losers off my tv. Be safe tonight everyone.
  23. That they can’t consistently play winning hockey.
  24. The Sabres special. If they don’t give up the dreaded early goal, they excel at giving up goals late in periods as well. Always completely demoralizing goals at terrible times.
