And apparently for the second straight deadline, we refuse to use any of our available cap room, top 3 in the league, again, to facilitate any 3 way deals just to get free assets. Does anyone ever get the feeling we have a GM that doesn’t understand fully how to accomplish his job? Why in the world wouldn’t you use some of your tons of available cap room to get free future assets that could either miraculously pan out or be reused in future deals?

I wish everyone felt this way and actually did stop buying tickets and renewing season tickets. If the fans truly want meaningful change with the Sabres, the only way to get it is to hit Pegula in the pocketbook. NOTHING else will get his attention at this point. If all these crybaby players are having this hard of a time with some boos can you imagine how they will feel if we actually had a hard ass coach in here like Torts, maybe even Gallant. I doubt we will ever get a top notch coach in here that would actually coach these guys hard, but boy it would be entertaining and comforting knowing these players wouldn’t be getting coddled behind the scenes anymore.

Just another embarrassing loss today to a team you absolutely can not lose to. This team deserves EVERY bit of derision directed their way. I was glad to hear some booing at the end of this pathetic game. I’m still amazed people actually spend their hard earned money and devote 3-4 hours to attend these games in person. Watching on tv, no big deal. But you couldn’t pay me enough to actually attend a Sabres game anymore. Gave that crap up four years ago and haven’t had one second thought about the decision since.

Thompson hasn’t been the same player since the midway point of last year. Just look at the stats. It’s night and day. He got injured last year and also teams figured out a better way to neutralize him. He has not been overly effective for well over a calendar year now. I highly doubt we will ever see the Tage from October 2022- January 2023 again. Maybe for small streaks here and there, but his league domination is gone.

All I know is this latest idiotness from this losing franchise has made it soooo much easier to tune them out and care even less than I already did during this 13th wasted season. I can’t wait for Okposo to be gone and hopefully about half this current roster. If ever a roster and quite frankly an entire organization needed blowing up, THIS one most certainly does. Of course it’s not the owners fault, or the GM’s fault or the coaching staff’s fault or the players fault. It’s the fans fault for this pathetic effort this year. And remarkably there are posters here who actually believe it IS the fans who are in the wrong here. Unfreakingbelievable.
