I like that Robinson seems to have no problem getting his nose dirty and go to the front of the net to get the ugly goals. I already like him better than half this roster.

Oh I agree. But I’d put the chances of Granato getting fired at 5%. I’d put the chances of KA being fired at negative 75%. Pegula loves this guy.

This Sabres team has ALL the looks of a team totally lost, they have NO idea what they’re doing on the ice. These are usually the type of teams where you see a coaching change made. Nope, not here. And definitely not mid season, where it would really embarrass people.

KA won’t do anything until Pegula tells him his seat is hot. I believe from KA’s attitude all off season was that he has job security here for the foreseeable future and he has handled business in exactly that way. As someone who can afford to have patience because the owner told him he’s safe for awhile. There is no other explanation for KA’s absolute refusal to show urgency to actually become a playoff team.

Actually it’s been comical for 13 years

Sabres special teams cost them a playoff spot last year due to league worst PK. This year special teams has cost them numerous games. Equally horrible PK and PP this year. I don’t see how that’s not 100% on the coaching staff.

Yep. Wings were supposedly behind us on the team development scale as of last year. They made solid moves and are now clearly ahead of this franchise.

That high scoring team from last year is long long gone and the defensive side of things is as bad as last year. Gonna be a longggg season now. Granato should probably be rooting for these injuries now, it’s the only thing that may save his job til next year.
