I know I've said it before but I've missed TBP's regular contribution around. Welcome back my friend.

Hahahhahah, wow those are some awful numbers. -
Oh the Chz discussions were always fun.

Came across this interesting article in the Globe today. The freefall of the ruble is hurting the KHL. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/hockey/russias-kontinental-hockey-league-on-the-verge-of-financial-ruin/article22138117/

Thinking you are a 'bad' or not 'loyal, true etc.' fan because you support the tank is just plain false. Sports equivalent of a suicide bomber? Man you've been towing the line lately.

Ya the blue league has no quality goaltenders at all on the waiver wire. Surprised I haven't been swept in that department with Crawford out. -
Thanks for the info.

Speaking of Nikita, any word on if the Sabres are releasing him to play at the WJC for Russia?
-
It was one of Darcy's last parting gifts.
-
Ya I'm worried about our future scoring but I don't want to buy it at the expense of our D. Risto and Zad are guys you win championships with IMO.
-
Hall did score over a point a game for Canada in WJC. Maybe a little off topic but Hodgson scored 16 points in 6 games. What happened to that kid.....
-
I forgot about Korab, wonder what happened there?
-
One of these years I'll make that damn poem.....
-
Don't worry there's lots of scoring in our system.
-
This is very disappointing.

I feel like I've caught some breaks this week, u were ranked second coming in so fortunate to pull this off. Good luck the rest if the way, I'm glad this is turning out better than my fantasy football team. I think we may run into each other again when it counts for more. -
I've moved away from my position of McEichle or bust (mainly because I think this streak along with Edmonton's play has screwed us out of it) but I still want to see a top 5 pick. The D on this team in two or three years could be scary good. We need another high level goal scorer IMO.

I agree that there is no way Enroth plays this well the rest of the year but my tank fear is our D has played so well that we're keeping a lot of shots from the outside. Lot's of teams feel the best way to beat Enroth is any and all shots because of his below avg rebound control which is true but our top 2 pairings are doing a great job of keeping the grade A scoring chances to a min. I think you could put most avg NHL goaltenders in there our D would make them look pretty good based on numbers alone. Our 'scoring' particularly outside of our top line is what is keeping any shred of hope alive.

Hahhahahaha, I'm glad you're posting more now of days TBP. I don't want to give up on this thing yet but damn our D looks stingy.

Hahhahaha true. Plus I'm surprised they haven't contributed on the O much this year as they both have that potential.
-
It's tough watching certain players on tv rather than being there but 55 and 51 have been near lights out IMO. I don't see how they could possibly be a lot better come February.
-
I'd be on board with an Enroth trade.

Problem is I don't know of any moves Murray could pull off to help the tank. Other than enroth none of the pending ufa guys are doing anything. The best players have been risto, zad, Myers, Girgs, Ennis and moulson. All of those guys may be part of the long term answer. It was mentioned by someone that they heard ted black talk about possibly letting zad play for Russia in the wjc. That could be spun as a developmental move and help the tank over the short term. Not much else can be done except hope enroth falls back to earth.

Hahhahahaa, well said. How can you not help but laugh picturing Stewart pouting and changing in a boiler room. In a contract year this is not helping his cause.

I've been voting the last few days. This is great.
