  1. No wonder so many of us hate the offseason. It's awfully quiet around here. Even the crickets aren't chirping.
  2. Watch and see. All of these posts may be eventually transferred and put on the original Complaint Thursdays thread. We shall see...
  3. Here, let me jazz things up a little bit... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUXuG8Q_I-I
  4. Just for you, PA. You earned it!
  5. set to Death Metal. Watching Pete Burns sing to growls is absolutely hilarious!
  6. Did you see my earlier post on the previous page?
  7. Huh? What does your response to my post have to do with my complaint?
  8. My complaint for this week: some men are incredibly lazy when it comes to using the washroom. One of my pet peeves are those men who don't wash their hands after taking care of business. Dudes, it's a hygiene issue! (I know that there are some women out there who do the same thing, but I'm digressing). To cap it off, here is the epitome of laziness. If no urinal is available and you absolutely have to use the commode to do #1, please lift the seat up. There is nothing more disgusting than having to clean off a seat everyone else has to sit on that has yellow/amber spots all over it because you guys didn't want to take the extra second or two to make sure that you aim it in the right spot. I know that there are some guys who aren't this disgusting, but some definitely are. There's no excuse for this uncleanliness whatsoever!
  9. on both. The latter was funnier than the first.
  10. Yep, and the Sabres FO continues to give us the impression that they don't care enough about winning the Stanley Cup either. (I'm not saying that they really don't care, but they haven't led us to believe otherwise.) Makes for bad "political" theatre.
  11. Not to sound crass in encouraging you, but chase it down with some milk or yogurt. That should assist in raising a stink!
  12. Now that you mention it, I have something that might as well be right up your alley. Ever go through those work zones on the Interstates where they have signs telling you you're about to lose a lane in so many feet and that you need to get out of that lane? What is extremely annoying is when you have those "looking out for #1" types who careless about the fact that they're holding up traffic on those who are already in the lane they need to be in just so they can get ahead of the rest of the traffic. It's even more annoying when I have to slam on the brakes on 80k #s of equipment just so some jerk like that doesn't find himself 6 feet under and my company winds up getting sued because of his or her stupidity. I've resolved that if anyone tries to cut me off at the last minute like that, I simply refuse to let them in when we're already crawling at a snail's pace through a work zone. They can wait like the rest of us. I would even venture to guess that there are some of you on this forum who are guilty of this in some way or another (but you're too :bag: to admit it).
  13. IIRC, traffic on this board normally dies down when the season's over and picks back up around the preseason.
  14. Oh, one last thing for spndnchz: congrats on graduation. You said you got several job offers. Hopefully, they keep you in WNY. I can imagine that there are a number of us who wish we were back there instead of living in different parts of the world, far away from home. :(
  15. Well, speaking of being in the doghouse, I remember when the Celtics practically collapsed at the end of the Larry Bird era. He had quite a supporting cast around him that helped out over the years. But, as they all left or retired one by one, it just wasn't the same, and it seemed like the Celtics were hanging around at or near the bottom of the NBA until a couple of years ago. Bringing Kevin Garnett out of Minnesota helped out the Celtics, IIRC.
  16. Just don't follow in Paul Kelly's shoes. It seems like it's a lose-lose proposition to be head of the NHLPA (but I'm digressing).
  17. :w00t:  What a coincidence! I made the reference to Tim Connolly with regard to LeBron James right before you posted, and then you mentioned what I bolded. Not a complaint. Just an observation.
  18. Plus, there are so many different facets to Law itself. Obviously, the most ubiquitous is that of trial lawyers like the ones we see peddling their wares during every televised Sabres game. There's also family law, criminal law, and one that I didn't know existed until I bought my house: real estate law.
  19. Could it be that he's overrated like Tim Connolly?
  20. Nice little tongue in cheek. At least you picked up on my avatar right away. Can't say the same for Lazarus Long aka PASabreFan.
  21. Admit it: your old age is catching up with you, Mr. Lazarus Long.
  22. I guess it would be nice if you could work for someone who would allow you to take Master's degree classes on the side.
  23. On the lighter side, it never ceases to amaze me at what people will do for fame. On a more serious note, It just blows my mind how a seminary president would lie about his past in order to make himself sound like a "credible expert". (If any of you know about this, it's about to get really ugly in Central Virginia).
