  1. My complaint: Facebook. I am sick and tired of all of the "technical shenanigans" that appear to be taking place there. Besides, given that Mark Zuckerberg appears to be ethically challenged, why should I trust any of my information to someone or a website that might as well be a snitch site? I am currently in the process of gutting my account, looking to keep in touch with friends via email, and deleting it once all of this is done - never to return there.
  2. Ok, I know most of you could careless about what goes on in churches, but I have to vent. Since when does a self-proclaimed pastor listen to Guns N Roses?
  3. What?! No French Connection highlights? You've gotta be kidding me!
  4. The more I drive through big megacities like Chicago, Atlanta, DC, St Louis, and Kansas City, the more I actually appreciate going through WNY when I get a chance.
  5. BINGO!!! There is a very clear difference between formal debates and informal conversations. If anyone follows formal debates, they would know that there is a certain structure to them in order that each party is given equal time for opening statements, question and answer, rebuttal, and closing statements. I know this from listening to podcasts of one of my favorite theologians (hold the rotten tomatoes, please). This guy does formal debates as part of his ministry. Just coming up to someone on the street and engaging in informal (and sometimes vitriolic) dialogue and rhetoric does not pass for a real debate. I only wish I had understood this between 5-20 years ago.
  6. Shippers and/or consignees who take forever and a day just to get my trailer loaded/unloaded and who don't even bother to pay detention fees to my company for holding up progress. (Anyone out there who's a trucker or who has done it in the past knows what I'm talking about.) As the old saying goes in the trucking industry, "If the wheels aren't turning, I'm not making any money."
  7. That's usually how it goes (but not always). <_< Runs right up there with, "He/she is no longer employed by us" = "We fired him/her." Don't you just love political correctness in this instance?
  8. 1, It depends on the women you come into contact with. Some of them can be the most pleasant ladies out there when it comes to normal everyday circumstances. Then there are those who just have some of the worst attitude problems out there. I look at it this way: some women probably feel the same way about us men. In that regard, I would be very careful on where we shoot our "tracer bullets" because as the old saying goes in Murphy's Laws of Combat, "Tracers work both ways," and I'm sure that some women would say that based on a few bad experiences with men, they probably feel that ALL men are like that. 2, Who are you keeping company with? That might be a part of the problem. I'm not saying that it definitely is, but I guess it may all be a matter of perception. Oh, one last thing: not a complaint this time, but happy belated St. Patrick's Day to everyone on the board! :)
  9. True, but the reason why I went to you in the first place is that you started this thread. No worries, though. If the thread never gets opened on a particular Thursday, it's not the end of the world for all of us here. We'll just wait for the next one.
  10. That makes at least two of us. First time, I wrote to Blue asking him to open it up a few weeks ago. After that, I just let it go.
  11. You don't know spndnchz that well at all. I'm still trying to figure out what makes her tick.
  12. Once I read that last sentence, I knew it was a plug for Bill Engvall. Well played, chz! Well played...
  13. :bag: I must have missed the "opinion" part. My apologies. As for the gun issue, look at it this way: when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. If that happens, I think I may move to Finland.
  14. Do we have any anglers on this thread? You'll have plenty to complain about once you read this.
  15. Well, I hate to do this, but in their defense, part of those prices go to pay the salaries of literally everyone involved in the production of the movie - right down to the Best Boy, the Key Grip, and the "We Hate America" actors. Having said that, I am going to segue into this week's complaint: I got word from the Wretched Radio podcast late last week that the Huffington Post now has a religion section. I don't know how long it's been there, but that is immaterial. From all the names I've read that are listed as contributors, there is not one conservative listed that I know of. However, there are some high-profile "Liberation Theology" types who post on there. Thus, when I heard this and checked it out for myself, I realized that there's no point it wasting any more of my time on something that obviously seems to believe that salvation is only attainable by their talking about good deeds and that government and humanity is the cure and not part of the problem.
  16. I know you're scratching your head over this one. I grew up listening to metal - but not all of it. (Some of it left much to be desired IMO, i.e. Motley Crue, Poison, Bon Jovi.) It's one of those things that I cannot get rid of. At the same time, I don't think it will send me to hell (just like I think that Christians who can't quit smoking don't go to hell either, but that's getting off topic) - even though there are some out there who would vehemently disagree with me. In context, though, what I said is that I listen to that kind of stuff when I play World of Warcraft.
  17. you lost me on that one. What did that have to do with songs we can't get out of our heads?
  18. I like to think of some Cannibal Corpse (S, R, & S; Coffinfeeder, Make Them Suffer) and Dying Fetus (One Shot, One Kill; Homicidal Retribution) songs while I play World of Warcraft.
  19. Well, thanks to that snowstorm, I'm stuck in Gibson, PA at the Flying J truckstop and I won't be able to make on time delivery in the morning up around Syracuse due to hours of service. Mind you, I was passing everyone at 45 mph on I-81 (speed limit got reduced to that exclusively for the storm). For some reason, I just have this uncanny ability to be able to handle the snowy roads no matter where I go (but I try not to take it for granted). However, I'm going to have to check 511 online for both PA and NY before I attempt to leave in the morning. If 81 is closed, I'm not going anywhere until it's opened back up. It could be worse: I-80 between Laramie and Rawlins, WY in the middle of winter. If anyone on this forum has ever been out there this time of year, you know how bad it gets.
  20. So you support child porn? Regardless of when the case was, it's still wrong.
  21. My complaint? One of the major organizations to head this once great country toward becoming a train wreck: the ACLU. It is just completely mind-numbing that these crackpot leftist fundamentalists would support and defend the "right" of truly sin-sick and twisted individuals to possess and distribute child pornography. Then again, since one of its founders, Roger Baldwin, was a died-in-the-wool Communist, nothing should surprise me coming from that gang of "useful idiots".
