  1. Nobody is upset that Johnson is playing well. Hell, I wish our whole team was overachieving like he is. But the key word in that sentence is overachieving. He is not, career wise, the player he has been this year. And there's nothing wrong with that.
  2. This is what you get out of that fact stacked post? This is a lost cause.
  3. WC with the post of the year so far. Awesome #fancystats
  4. How recent do we want to go here? Lehner has a .949 SV% in his last two starts. And, just for the sake of keeping it fair, CJ has a.967 SV% in his last two, but the difference is basically negligible. Both guys would still be crying out for goal support. You really can't go wrong with either guy at this time, I just personally want to see Lehner as much as possible just to see what we have in him, but he's coming off a major injury so the rest is important for him at this point as well.
  5. Who's going to be the first to predict a Moulson goal tonight?
  6. Saw Sleep last night in Toronto. Blew almost every band I've ever seen out of the water. Loud and heavy. And good looks on the Power Trip post, their singer Riley is a good friend of mine.
  7. No, I mean the guy who plays lights out and get no goal support. Can't pin a lack of offense on Lehner. Even that second goal last night, not his fault they left Zetterberg completely alone. Lehner had made almost 40 saves before the first goal. Sabres didn't even manage 20.
  8. Does anyone else think based on Lehner's play the last two games we would have more wins if he didn't get hurt?
  9. After this game I an say at least 3 things for certain. Moulson is done, less than a shell of his former self. I love Lehner, you can tell how badly he wants to win and how badly he wants to validate to the team and fans that he was worth what they gave up. He has been by far the best player on the ice for us the last two games, not even close. And lastly, if this is how Bylsma's team is going to play, I don't want him here. I can't watch a team with our speed and talent just turtle up on defense, dump and chase, and consistently play the most boring game possible just to slow the game down so they only have to "win a period." Now all this being said, we've been unlucky with injuries, and based on Lehner's play I actually think we would have more wins so far this season if he hadn't been hurt. The all-star break is a very welcome sight.
  10. Jesus, could they put Lehner in a worse position there? Just hung the guy out to dry.
  11. I feel really bad for Lehner the past 2 games. He's made some great saves, kept us in both games, and you can tell by his body language how badly he wants to win and he gets little to no goal support.
  12. Is there any chance they don't buy Moulson's contract after this year? He looks completely shot.
  13. To be fair our line up is decimated by injury right now. Kind of does make you appreciate the subtle and not so subtle differences from last year's team. But damn, Moulson looks bad.
  14. I get to see the legendary Sleep in Toronto tonight. For those not in the know, they basically invented the stoner metal genre in the very early 90's, and this is their first time anywhere close to Buffalo. Can't wait.
  15. But his scene as Deadpool at the beginning was one of the only highlights.
  16. I'm assuming you either didn't watch the game or didn't watch the replays from that goal. They showed a perfect overhead shot which showed Lehner in perfect position to cover the initial shot.
  17. And if you look at the replay he was in perfect position to save the initial shot. Not his fault Pysyk got manhandled and it deflected off his hand less than a foot in front of him. Again, just like Johnson said, his saves may not have been by the book but they were there. And if we won the game you would all be praising those same saves as why we were able to stay in the game. We completely turtled in the 3rd period. No offense whatsoever, and that's not on Lehner.
  18. See Johnson's post. If the Sabres score that late goal instead of the Avs, we all post about how Lehner bailed us out with some great saves, even with his "flailing". Sure he went down on the first goal, but there was a missed clear by ROR on the rebound.
  19. Exactly. That and not being screened specifically by his own player on that last goal. :wallbash:
  20. According to everything I'm seeing the storm is far enough away from Buffalo that we aren't getting hit here. Really hope that ends up being the case.
  21. You're right, Lehner should have accounted for the last second deflection from Pysyk's hand  . Check the overhead view, before that random deflection he had that shot covered clean.
  22. Not on Lehner, at all. From that overhead view you can see he was in position to make the save if it didn't hit Pysyk's hand at the last second. If you want to complain about anything, complain about Bylsma asking his players to turtle and play for OT, instead of staying aggressive in the last minute and keeping the pressure on.
