  1. How does unconditional release work?
  2. So, they couldn’t find anyone who wanted to trade for him. Now they’ll see if anyone wants him for nothing. This seems like a last ditch effort to get ride of his salary.
  3. Cernak did care, but there was also a game going on that he was trying to play. After the game he told reports that he asked Kassian “what the heck was that?!” Paraphrasing. Not that it matters at all. It’s something that you just can not do regardless. When you have giant blades attached to your feet, you shouldn’t try to kick people. I feel like I should not even need to type that sentence, but apparently I do.
  4. Yes, tens of thousands of people will buy something terrible. Happens all the time. It doesn’t matter. If someone bought it and loves it, that’s fine, but I still think that logo is so ugly. That’s not going to change, even if all 7 billion people on the planet bought 1,000 slug jerseys each. It makes total sense to me. It’s my opinion. You can’t prove to me that they are not awful, just as you can’t prove that blue and gold is better that red and black. It’s an aesthetic opinion, it’s unprovable. I loved those teams though.
  5. .....bs (and total reckless a-hole) move on Kassian’s side.
  6. Cernak took his time getting up for sure, but it doesn’t even matter. Don’t try to blame Cernak for it. You can’t intentionally kick someone with your skate blade. It’s incredibly dangerous.
  7. https://thechargingbuffalo.net/2020/02/12/sabres-prospects-notebook-2-12-20/ Rundown of how Sabres prospects have done over the past week.
  8. Kassian kicking Cernak in the chest with the blade of his skate. He’ll be getting another phone call from the NHL here. Maybe he should settle down a little.
  9. Yes, probably true. It’s also true that tons of fans have been throwing money at the team for years to get the privilege of season tickets for a crap product. Just because someone is willing to buy it doesn’t prove that it’s not terrible.
  10. Ten cent has not been reporting this. Two weeks ago their website displayed very high numbers for a few hours only. Tencent does not stand behind those numbers. The article you linked says as much. I say this completely understanding the control China has over information and how this can affect what is reported. Numbers coming out of China are not necessarily reliable. How do you explain the numbers coming from outside of China? Every nation with confirmed cases is lying about the transmission and mortality rates? To what end? EDIT: correcting what I previously wrote. There have been 580 confirmed cases and 3 deaths outside of mainland China.
  11. Where did you come up with these numbers? Out of thin air? There are no reports of anything anywhere close to such numbers. Outside of China, there have been something like 400+ confirmed cases and only 1 death, so it seems basically impossible that it could have something like a 20% mortality rate.
  12. But so ugly. An abomination. These are facts.
  13. The team ordered them on time, but the players threw them in the locker room trash can before taking the ice. Because, you know, they are really ugly.
  14. Hmm, interesting thought. 2015 Kucherov was 2-3 years younger than Olofsson is now though.
  15. Why did you watch?
  16. Goaloffson!!!!!!!!!
  17. Oh goodness. Multiple Sabres could have scored to win it there! Olofsson whiffed when he had half an open net from 5 ft out.
  18. Sabres showing that they care.
  19. Great pass from Reinhart to break Eichel loose on that goal............just kidding, that was all Jack.
  20. Your welcome. Would you like me to do the clean up in addition to the setting up?
  21. I think it’s a bit of both. Definitely play a strong defensive game, but I think the goalies are good too.
  22. Just realized that Hutton has a special paint job to go with the 50th Anniversary sweaters. Looks sharp.
  23. Those 3 were drafted 13th, 31st, and 22nd overall respectively. Brennan was first pick of the 2nd round.
  24. I think there is definitely something to this, but it doesn’t really explain the total disappointment of the 1st round picks. These most high profile picks, who would have got the most attention and scrutiny, also had an extremely poor success rate.
  25. Yes, the Sabres have not met expectations for an NHL franchise over the past decade. I don’t know of anyone who would disagree with that. Just because I say that they are lacking the talent, doesn’t mean that I’m completely handwaving away the idea of culture. It can be hard to say exactly what a culture is like from the outside looking in, but in years past especially, it often hasn’t looked great. I also think it can be hard to improve the culture a great deal without also addressing the talent deficiencies.
