I don’t understand what you are saying here or what your concern is. This article does not say that the current vaccines do not offer protection against any variant.
-
The bolded: Why? The only real trade has been from a team that you didn’t want to trade with apparently, so why is your confidence dropping?
-
I don’t really get it, but yeah kind of?

I don’t think this Bryson-Risto pairing is a good idea. -
I don’t know. His numbers from the 3 years before the MVP season (23.8 G’s, 61.5 PTs per 82) are not much different from the 3 seasons after (17.2 Gs, 65.6 PTs per 82), on a per game basis. Honestly, he just is not an elite player. He is a very good player who had an elite season that one year.
-
Not that I disagree with most of your points, but every single one of the numbers you wrote are wrong. Hall scored 16 goals in 65 games last season. Over the past 3 seasons, Hall has produced at a rate of 17.2 goals and 65.6 points per 82 games. He has been a minus player in 9 out of 11 seasons. He will be on his 4th team in 2 years.
-
Yeah, I agree. I should not have said everyone. I just see some posters holding firm onto the 1st or nothing idea, and some expecting a 1st +.
-
Are you saying that MTL would never give up so much? Or is it that you don’t think it’s a fair return for Hall?
-
I’m a bit concerned that the return for Hall will be less than that coveted 1st or grade A prospect and everyone is going to be pissed when he goes for a 2nd and a 3rd or something like that.

The bolded is shockingly bad. Is that really true? -
Ooohh, I totally forgot that you can only retain on 3 contracts.
-
If a UFA wants to move on from Buffalo, I think it would unreasonable to expect a GM to be able to sweet talk them into signing with Buffalo right now. They have seen the tire fire.
-
Yeah, I don’t know the exact numbers for all the possible trades. Maybe they wouldnt need to retain the full 50% on all of Hall, Ullmark, and Montour.
-
You can’t flip Anderson. He is making $5M and is injured. He hasn’t played in 3 weeks and he wasn’t playing well before that.
-
No doubt. I was responding to a comment about Hall just needing a better coach and how there isn’t much point to getting draft picks. Implying (I believe) that we should keep him.
-
Nope, but it probably looks a lot easier to crack Buffalo’s roster than Tampa’s.
-
Ullmark would certainly be a big upgrade for Toronto. Anderson can be very good, but he is dealing with injuries and it’s uncertain if he will even be able to play, never mind play well. Their situation in goal is extremely precarious and Ullmark would bring much needed stability.
-
Whoa, the “fact” that Ullmark is being shopped around would indicate to me that he is not particularly eager to resign in Buffalo. If that’s the case then it would be sad to see him go, but it’s probably better to get assets for him. I can not imagine that Hall + Ullmark would net Anderson (injured rental for salary balance), Robertson, Sandin, and another prospect. Those pieces might all be in the discussion as possibilities, but I can’t imagine. It’s got to be a “either/or” situation, not an “and” situation.

What? Why would the Devils want to acquire Hall? EDIT: unless is it to secure themselves a lottery win? Oh yes, I see you. -
Jack Campbell came from the 11th overall pick in the 2010 draft. He was supposed to be the next superstar goalie 10 years ago, but his career has been derailed by injuries. He can’t stay healthy, but as you can see from his current performance, he is still very talented. Happy for him.

I think the Sabres could improve a lot and be a playoff team even with those two contracts, and the Eichel contract too. However, you are certainly correct that it is a handcuff. I actually think KO currently is one of the top 12 forwards. Early in the season he was not playing like it, but he has rounded into form. KO’s contract has just two years left now, so it is easier to deal with. It could be traded or bought out somewhat reasonably. Skinner’s contract is something that they are just going to need to work around for quite some time. The buyout would be outrageous and it has a NMC so he is almost impossible to trade, completely impossible if he doesn’t want to go. He isn’t going anywhere soon.
-
Its not obvious to me that Hall just needs a better coach. I don’t want him back on this team. If Hall doesn’t want to be traded, he doesn’t need to be. It’s up to him. He has a NMC. Hall is a UFA. If he wants to come back and Sabres want him back, they can sign him then, after they get deadline assets for him. Not trading Hall makes absolutely no sense. If Hall doesn’t want to go make a run at the cup with a good team, I think it says a lot about his priorities and I want him even less. I’ll just add, teams don’t UFA buy their way out of being bad. It doesn’t work. I think we have seen this play out before. Whatever drafting the team has done in the past, that’s over now, they fired everyone. If Buffalo drafts terribly, none of this other stuff matters much. It’s a requirement to building a good team (unless several truly brilliant trades are pulled off). If that’s not fixed, it’s not going to happen for them. Once again, the suggestion that they shouldn’t trade Hall makes absolutely no sense. Just sit on our hands and think a new coach will fix everything? Naive.
-
What’s your point? That it’s all useless anyway? Gee thanks.
-
Was it the 2nd dose? Which vaccine did he get? A lot of people are feeling pretty bad after the 2nd dose. Basically flu type symptoms and feeling pretty wiped out for a few days. It’s not a bad reaction, it’s just a strong immune system response. Hope that’s just what is going on with your son.
-
That’s the hope. I think things may move quickly now.
