Man, you aren't kidding. The only player on the team that does anything physically is Risto. We are soft. It was never more apparent than during the last 1:30 or so after we pulled the goalie. We never really got a decent shot attempt and when the puck ended up against the wall on several occasions, Tampa just physically controlled play and the puck. This team would be in serious trouble in the playoffs when boring, crap regular season hockey ends and real, amped-up hockey begins. Too many kids on the team too who are giving something up physically simply due to age. Botterill is not going to seek to add "toughness" because it's not a part of the game as he envisions it. Let's see how things go in the next stretch of games. Can you imagine the Boston Bruins, at any point in the last 30 years, responding as this team did tonight? Not only would they kill us playing hockey in a 7 game series, they jump on guys like pack wolves when crap like that happens, and always have. WE have such a long way to go around here.

We can hope we do! What a freaking boring hockey game today. This has been my fear since the early wins started. I think it is possible we win tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath.

Does anyone else have a bad feeling about this road trip? I think we are in for a new form of Stockholm Syndrome with 2 more losses thrown on the recent pile. I hope I'm wrong!

Any guitar players here? I can't help but notice that Brian Duff has GIGANTIC hands. They are like Steve Vai big. Wonder if he plays. It's a shame to waste hands like that.

I didn't. He said he was paying too much attention listening to RJ and Wieland and that's just his way of saying "nice to you have in the booth". Nothing Rayzor is going to say in those 5 seconds adds squat to the broadcast anyway.

Heck, back when he was playing a shift a night he was still knocking down $600,000 a year. Not impressive by current pro athlete standards, but plenty to help make ends meet. I love Rob Ray. Wish he was still playing and got in a scrap to help jump start the team. This game sucks.

Rayzor is not as dumb as you might think. Sometimes his intelligence doesn't come acrosst but it is there.

Wow, Rick Dudley is almost unrecognizable now! I have such fond memories when he was the coach, going crazy and genuinely scaring me!

I'm loving them; the walk down memory lane is much more enjoyable than this crap hockey game.

Great to hear the Pat Hannigan reference. I vaguely remember him as color analyst when I was little. Forgot all about him.

John Tucker is a classic random Sabre name to pull out of nowhere that perfectly sums up where this franchise has been most of its life. Too many John Tuckers around here over the years.

Glad to see this is on NHL network. I can record and then watch a bit later on the DVR. I'd be happy to see them go back to the black sweaters! I know there are only 3 Sabres fans in existence, including me, who feel that way however. That doesn't include the goat logo though; that was always terrible.

We ran into the right team tonight. Detroit is a mess and they can't buy a goal or piece of puck luck right now. We played far from a strong game, but the 2 points count nonetheless!

Yeah that's part of what you get with Mickey. I just find him very entertaining. He always sounds like he is half in the bag slurring his words and what not. It's just how he talks though. I enjoyed their comments about Ralph. It's always nice to get the other guy's perspective on what's going on with the Sabres, if the broadcasters are not terrible.

Wow, Dahlin gift wrapped another goal for Detroit. Lucky no goal there.

Anyone else watching the Detroit feed? I went with it tonight b/c I like Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond is hilarious. He was all over Filppula for how he played his breakaway.

I feel like we won't see Bogo play another game as a Sabre. Maybe I'm wrong.

There are no enforcers to play. What a crap game. Holy cow did Dahlin have a rough night....again. But I feel bad singling him out. So much suck to point a finger at in this one.
