  1. You Stroka your Hiney your way and I'll Stroza the Man my way. πŸ˜€
  2. Bryson is good with the puck, skates well, tries hard but is horrendous in front of the net. He's closer to a 7th Dman than a 1st pairing guy. Donnie the Meatball man.
  3. I'm going to side with you 2 on this because I've been fooled by this team before, but it is amazing when some guys get healthy and start playing (Hineythestrozaman, Mitts, Tuch, Olofsson) and the young guys starting to come of age (Krebs, Samuelsson) how much better they play. Still making mistakes and puck luck had a hand in yesterday's game also but there's no denying during and after this game who looked like a team and who looked like a team of individuals. The team culture has vastly improved, no denying that.
  4. Those Uni's look sweet. That Pysyk-Hagg duo freaks me out more than Eeeeking at 4C does. MAPLE WHISKEY LETS GO BUFFALO
  5. I guess anything is possible but with him being a probable Hart Trophy candidate this year, I'd guess they're going to try and keep him plus who has the Cap availability to top their offer?? With several of their players at or above 30 years of age, If they lose either of those 2 guys plus Mangiapane, what a mess could brew there.
  6. By points per game percentage the VGKs are out of a playoff spot in the West. Edmonton beats Tampa and is tied with them with a game in hand and Dallas is a point behind VGKs with 3 games in hand. That draft pick is getting interesting. I’m sure 14-16 is much better than 28 or 29. They are at Columbus then Winnipeg then are home to Florida, the LA Kings then at Minnesota. It isn’t getting better for them soon.
  7. Gudbranson RD Calgary have to sign Tkachuk and Gaudreau this season and will be in cap hell next year with those signings Burakovsky LW/RW Colorado UFA Dillon RD Winnipeg need to trade for him but he could be picked because cap hell and may need to retool team Probably going to have to trade for a GK but if Anderson doesn't come back is Brian Elliot and Braden Holtby possibilities for vet leadership and both are UFAs
  8. When you do let me know where you had it done because I have a #9 of his also. Need to have that Eichel removed also. On that note those blue jerseys looked awesome in the closeups.
  9. My observations of the game: Anderson was outstanding when he needed to be. What a great game to get 300 Best defensive effort of the year from the team last night Games like this keep the hopium bottle full especially for the young guys Hinostroza was flying around all game, I wouldn't mind resigning him I hope Fitzgerald is ok, he's got heart Best game by Samuelsson in quite awhile, if he keeps progressing that LD position is stocked Never felt the effort dropped in the 3rd period with the team down 2 players for most of the game. Impressive. Dahlin is awesome I don't remember jumping and shouting at a goal like I did on Olofsson's goal in quite awhile Is Mitts turning into our 3rd line center?? I thought he played much better defensively and I'm not sure he's speedy enough to be a top 2C and that's not a knock on him. I'll be shocked if Tuch doesn't get the C if not next year, when Okposo moves on Did the crowd get the boys pumped or was it playing against Jack?? I kind of felt bad for him after the game on 2nd thought F him If I'll miss anything about Jack it will be that skating stride, dang it's elite, the Pegula's and GMKA had to celebrate that victory THE CROWD WAS AWESOME, welcome back Eakin had me eeeeeking again but his time will end soon enough I was entertained and if you'd told me a month ago that we'd go 3-2 against Minnesota, Toronto, LA Kings, Florida and Las Vegas, I'd have taken it without question.
  10. It's not just Rochester that is light on Defense, Buffalo has basically 3 rookies, Bryson, Fitzgerald and Samuelsson, 2 vets that's probably the worst pairing in the NHL in Pysyk and Hagg plus Dahlin and Joker. We also have Miller who has only played slightly over 1/2 the games this year. Not only did our GMTM trade away most of our draft capitol in 2014-15 but left on the table an array of players that are all stars now. It does appear the recent drafts are getting better now though but that means we endure further pain waiting on them to develop
  11. Sure if he was playing on a line with Fiala and a worker like Gaudreau plus plays the power play with Fiala, Kaprizov, Joel EE and Zuccarello.
  12. Actually a victory by the Sabres puts the pressure on Vegas to make the playoffs, they're barely in it right now. Edmonton's right on their tail and with Dallas and Nashville with games in hand, this is a must win for them, so this isn't just draft position for the Sabres pick but the VGK's one as well. That may work locally but it doesn't for out of town'rs that get blocked by the app. It'll be interesting who plays on what lines today. Awaiting @Brawndo update.
  13. I'd trade with Minnesota for Matt Dumba and sign Ian Cole as an UFA who although a lefty, plays both sides. Use Fitzgerald as your 7th D.
  14. Just to make sure that you do understand that the Kings have a 11-1-2 road record they are currently on which includes a victory at Boston yesterday. Losing 1-0 to that team discounting the 2 empty netters is far from a flat performance albeit a boring game in comparison to the 2 previous victories. Having said that, everyone's opinion here I guess is valid but I'm not sure how you truly judge this guy with the roster he was given. Especially since the 2 guys we were expecting to be some of our better forwards have been injured and the GKs we have. I'll await next year to make a judgement on the guy especially if KA makes a few moves to improve the roster.
  15. I look at those charts and I feel I'm back in 1969, staring at a lava lamp on LSD with a black light in the background. My eye test says he's a skilled talented kid who's not strong enough to win board battles, is better in open space then he is playing a heavy game and he still needs time to figure out a man's game in the NHL. Flashes glimmers of light but gets knocked off the puck easily. He's not experienced enough to be the guy of his line and needs someone to get him the puck in open space (Asplund) and someone to finish his vision (Olofsson/Quinn). As for his defense almost every young guy has these issues but fortunately he does hustle and try which is all we can ask for at the moment until he figures it out.
  16. As usual, why google or waste time researching when we have you. You are too good to us Sabrespacers. Have a nice day.
  17. FIFY, take your crying towel to the appropriate thread and do it there. Stay on point on this one if not for me for the Ghost of Doohickie. He deserves better. He got up early in the morning to start this thread, the least you can do is wait for the 2nd page to change the subject!!!
  18. The return of Samson tonight. Will he seek his revenge and kill our lion and tear down the pillars of the KeyBank Center or will he have pity on us and Get A Haircut before the game. With Huberdeau, Barkov, Bennett, Ekblad, Lundell and also the return of Montour the Panthers have plenty of firepower for our back to back game tonight. It should be a much faster paced game compared to the one last night against the Kings but will that be to our detriment?? Any word on Tuch?? Will Miller make his return, who'll play the 4th line today?? LETS GO BUFFALO
  19. Well it seems like I'm not the only one up early today. As The Kings face The Queen City in an afternoon contest. VS Your Buffalo Sabres will be attempting to win their 3rd game in a row for the 1st time since the opening 3 games of the season and for the 2nd time against the Kings who ended our earlier attempt 3-2 at LA. It appears the team is getting healthy with Mitts playing his best game this year, Olofsson starting to look like the Victor we saw before his injury, Hinostroza looking like he'll play in this game and Girgensons, Butcher and Miller back practicing with the team. Will Mr. Anderson play his 4th game in a row trying for his 300 NHL victory?? Will Jankowski replace Eakin on the 4th line. There's hope that may be happening plus the appearance of 3 scoring lines these past 2 games. Well we have a positive 3 possibilities going today, 3 game winning streak, 3 scoring lines and 300 victories which is awesome since we've gotten so used to being a 3 time loser. LETS GO BUFFALO
  20. GDT's started too early by Misguided Women So we have a chance to sweep the season's series with the Wild?? Thompson's shoot out goal won the 1st game. LETS GO BUFFALO
  21. Not arguing with you but it does give you more assets/draft capital to acquire a vet GK and RD without losing what they have at the moment. Now and next year shouldn't be the priority but what is best for them in 2 years when the kids start their prime years.
  22. Although I agree with you in principle, by keeping 1/2 his salary you'd be able to get back more in a trade for him than anyone else you'd be ok with losing. He'll be 34 at the end of this season. Go all in on Burakovsky from the Avs in FA in the offseason and you'd get younger, faster and better in the short term. His leadership will get picked up by Tuch and Dahlin sooner than later. I'd keep Asplund not because he'd provide you much point production but he's a battler and he could fill multiple spots in the bottom 6. I would also keep Mitts and Olofsson another year and see if they have bounce back years after their injuries. Mitts is obviously still struggling to find his way and Olofsson has looked better the past couple of weeks. He looked fast playing with Krebs plus he needs a shooter on his line. Mitts at the moment is looking more and more like a winger than a center especially if we draft a C with that 1-6th pick and I don't see him filling a role as a 4th liner. Thompson-Cozens-Krebs.... Tuch-Quinn-Skinner-Olofsson-Mitts-Asplund-Girgs..... UPL..... Samuelsson-Dahlin-Joker-Power
  23. I also don't think they'll ever move either but if they did Hamilton would be the best scenario, it's no further away than what Rochester is. What was the most impressive part of yesterday's win was the speed and defense of 3 of the 4 forward lines. The forechecking and back checking of this group was a sight to see. It's games like this that keep the hope alive for this team. It was probably the best all around game for Samuelsson and Fitzgerald. With Joker coming back maybe we just need 1 more vet RD if the S&F duo can continue to grow. Dahlin isn't perfect yet but man if he isn't the best Dman we've had in quite awhile, I've been very impressed.
  24. Ramble on buddy, some already know, some never will. My opinion is that Mitt's error was one of trying to make a great play when he should have gone for the safe one. If you check the video there was a Sabre who was behind the defense he was trying to get the puck to, alas it failed and ended up in our net. Another question although that was Mitts primary fault but where the hell was Fitzgerald on that play, he even didn't end up in the video at the end of that play. 2 misplays but as usual only 1 gets credit for it.
  25. Those of us watching the game should look for a Sabres fan with a chicken hat on during the broadcast. From what I understand he's an annual rowdy member of the Stars haters club. He may even invade the American Airlines Center riding a bike. Sabres news: Vegas Knights now have a slight point lead for a playoff spot but with Stone and Lehner now on LTIR, they have as good a chance of missing the playoffs as getting in. Edmonton 1 point behind with a game in hand and Dallas 3 points behind and 2 games in hand. That 1st round draft choice starting to look better and better. Top 16 maybe????? Those of us Sabres fans in Texas will have to watch the game on Bally Sports today. Mucho Waffles LETS GO BUFFALO
