  1. Man Turris is giving us fits tonight Um Mr Ray the shot did get through?
  2. Good Shift. Kane needs to get the puck deep instead of taking on 2-3 guys and turning it over on top of the circles.
  3. Out for the game for sure, no other update yet I'm slow tonight :(
  4. Now now Girgensons I can read lips that was a bad word.
  5. I hope Kane and Eichel are on different lines for the third
  6. Much Much better this period, they are getting solid chances and controlling the action
  7. From Twitter: One Buffalo ‏@One_Buffalo 2h2 hours ago .@KimPegula is dishing out the new One Buffalo @perrysicecream right now at the 100 level inside @FirstNiagaraCtr! Buffalo Sabres This should make a few posters happy
  8. The sens are doing a good job of keeping hte sabres to the outside in their zone, we haven't had any quality chances. Lots of poor angle quick release prayers.
  9. Maybe it's super quick shifts but seems like a lot of Dump n Change.
  10. I know how do the people behind the net see? :bag:
  11. We seem to be reacting to rather than creating the action in the game. Hopefully it's just new team cobwebs.
  12. First shot 5:00 in, yuck. I'm liking the individual skill to retain the puck. Not immediately passing it to the other teams D or being stripped.
  13. I'll say Cody Franson on the PP. OR Robin Lehner (own goal) :bag:
  14. Such effortless speed by Eichel. He looks like he's out for a Saturday date-night around the rink with his honey and is actively pulling away from the leafs guy (Brown?). This, all-season long, this. "Oh brother we are not worthy" all season long! Let's Go BUF-FA-LO!
  15. Upgraded my wife's laptop to 10 yesterday from 8.1. Upgraded my Sister-in-law's computer to 8.1 and tried to install 10 but the auto down-loader would fail when it got to 100%. Currently burning a disk to install it on her laptop and then I'll update my Win7 desktop. As far as the laptops go I don't see a reason not to upgrade. Its been running pretty well and seems to boot quicker. I also got a Audio Driver warning when it first booted but it didn't affect playback and hasn't appeared again. One issue that I need to look into is the "recent files" list doesn't depopulate files that have been deleted, minor annoyance. The desktop is going to be the biggest change as it doesn't have a touchscreen (one of the many reasons it never got 8). I have it set up in the living room as defacto HTPC. We currently use an Xbox360 (even though I have a Xbox1 :-/) and a Media Extender to play files from the PC. Microsoft in its infinite wisdom has killed Windows Media Center and with that the Media Extender. Making playing media without directly connecting the device to the TV or touching the device they are on (via Play To or similar) frustrating. It wouldn't be an issue but all non-extender solutions I have tried so far prevent anyone using the PC simultaneously without interrupting the playback for the TV. Windows 10 is supposed to play nice with the Xbox1 (especially when the Xbox1 switches to 10) so we'll see how that goes.
  16. Kane - O'Reilly - Eichel Moulson - Girgensons - Ennis Foligno Reinhart - Gionta Deslauriers - Larsson - Legwand Bogosian - Ristolainen Gorges - Pysyk Weber - Colaiacovo Lehner I really like the 2nd line of returning sabres, some chemistry has to be there that wouldn't be in other combinations. I don't know schaller well enough to slot him in the line up. He may better 4th liner than anyone we have. Eventually I'd want eichel at center but we'll see how he develops. I'm bummed that we missed out on Oduya; we need a 2nd paring guy to go with Pysyk. I see injury troubles come February with the current D line-up. Is Sekera still an option.
  17. From Hockeybuzz: Niemi, Antti Fasth, Viktor Ramo, Karri Neuvirth, Michal Harding, Josh Gustavsson, Jonas Budaj, Peter Enroth, Jhonas Ellis, Dan Emery, Ray Greiss, Thomas Lindback, Anders Dubnyk, Devan Labarbera, Jason Leggio, David Bachman, Richard Clemmensen, Scott MacDonald, Joey MacIntyre, Drew McElhinney, Curtis Zepp, Rob Curry, John Leighton, Michael McKenna, Mike Thiessen, Brad The names that jump out at me are Niemi, Fasth, Neuvirth, Budaj and Leighton. Then again I'm not familiar with west coast back-ups. Of those I wouldn't mind Niemi or Neuvirth. Any other prospects would have to be gotten in trade; I wouldn't guess to who we could get or how we'd get them. Edit: had a nice spreadsheet but SS destroyed it.
  18. Buffalo (clearly) or Columbus I'm okay with. Some teams out west like the Sharks or Oilers (via pitt) I could live with. The rest fall under the spectrum of 1-Ugg I hate that team, at least we have Eichel --> 10-&%$ :censored: @$#%& %#$^ RIGGED $#@&! :censored: &%#@ levels of frustration. PS I think the lottery is dumb. many  will be had on that faithful day.
  19. I don't want him back. Next year I want to see a team that has a clear system in place. Get this "try, skate hard and it'll come together/compete FTW" pipe dream out of our vocabulary. That may work in the peewees but it can NEVER support a NHL team in the long run. I think we have been without a decent coach for so long that we've forgotten what a good system looks like (the Rolston centipede does not count). Develop a solid system that gives the other teams fits with the size and talent we'll have next year. Teach this young team how to play playoff winning hockey. Trying hard every shift should be PART of the system not THE system. I want hear "That play worked exactly like (Insert Name Here) drew it up" said about the Sabres many, many times. That name can't be Nolan.
  20. Man these game day threads are getting better and better...quiet desperation has blossomed into full on lunacy
