I think Bogosian has been better than Myers since the trade, and that's not saying much as Myers has been injured most of that time. So call a spade a spade. Zadorov is too young to say he cannot turn into a functional defensemen.

I think he sounded poignant, intelligent and straight forward with his presser. His tape doesn't lie, getting stronger isn't an issue. Sam in his rookie year in preseason and the first nine games couldn't handle the NHL size/strength. It's a good pick.

I wouldn't that in any sense of the word, you lose on pure value of an upgraded pick and Kane is worth more than at best a second pairing defensemen who had his break out season at 24-25.

I'd take a 7th round pick in 2020 for Bogo to be off this team. Moulson has just two more seasons. Ennis being protected still annoys me.

Personally I like him more than Makar. I feel that the questions about his hockey sense are overstated. He has an NHL body, shot, and can run the PP. He has as much upside as any of the defensemen. Heiskanen is more ready "NOW" and is a safer two way player. He could play day one. Valimaki has the same style as Heiskanen but may be a step lower. I order them: Heiskanen, Liljegren, Makar, Valimaki. He missed half the season with mono and looked out of shape when he got back. Think Chychrun slipping last season, but he looked fine all season as a rookie.

This makes sense, but in that case I'd take Pecas, Andersson, Tolvanen, Pettersson, Suzuki, over Tippett.

Suzuki seems like a level headed Josh Ho-Sang. Eh. I'd take Pettersson or Andersson over him. I'd take him if we decided to move down into the teens.

I don't see the disconnect here. They offered a 1st, a conditional pick and Jones for Lucic. Who was turned into a 1st. If we cannot get 11 and something like Clague and a secondary pick there is no point. Lucic had one year left, was older and is not as highly potent a scorer.

I was really high on Clague and remain high on him. I'm one of the few who also like Kempe, but he might not be a pure get in the sense of Housley's style. So I'd rather go for the defensemen and continue to overhaul our system with defensemen.

He's younger than Lucic was when they made the trade for him. If you can get 1st, 2nd, and Clague. Make the deal. Anything less move on.
