Fudge nuggets USA has no energy. Much better shift
-
We all have to grow up sometime
-
Short bench as it is. I just hope Chelios takes him aside and whispers "you owe me one" and glowers at him the rest of the tourney.
-
Gauthier is intriguing. He looks like a man among boys.
-
I think Robin' Worm would be more in spirit of things.
-
I hate the low glass behind the net. Too many shots go out of play. Schmaltz is very smooth. The Hawks have a good one there.
-
Borgen playing well.
-
Any of our Canadian SSers have insight into whether you must play in the CHL, NHL AHL or college to be eligible. Tyson Jost is projected as a top 20 pick and he was not invited to camp? Just curious. And of course go USA!
-
Same here. Or he doesn't have the wheels to play where he wants him. But he better figure it out because I don't think Moulson is going anywhere next year.
-
Interesting scratch.
-
I think this tourney is as if not more beneficial to a players development in that they are vying for future consideration for their national teams. The quality of play is good and the limelight and pressure is far superior to the A. Jmho of course.
-
Dunno. But I sincerely hope the kid is ok. I like that NHL clubs allow their properties to play and a serious injury could jeopardize that.
-
Hasn't returned. Little brother is pretty Impressive
-
I dunno. They sat back a bit with the one goal lead.
-
The NHL needs to study this tourney. The style and pace of play is so much more watchable. I look forward to this tourney every year. Russia v Czech Republic very entertaining.

Well done Eleven. Merry Christmas to all. And TBJ, O Holy Night was my father's favorite. It reminds me of.him everytime I hear it and suddenly the air is quite dusty. Slainte'

TBN piece on sagging attendance, enthusiasm in arena
3putt replied to PASabreFan's topic in The Aud Club
The Blackhawks have one of the best arena experiences going. If they weren't winning cups, the UC would be half empty. And if they were winning they way Jersey did it would be half empty. The "fans" demand PK theatrics and exciting play. Without it the model franchise would be in trouble. I split seasons and have done so since before Rocky took over. The people who come now are there for selfies and the anthem. -
The article states "one eastern conference talent evaluator..." That could be a scout to a minor league assistant coach. It doesn't say GM.
-
I was going to add "even with the long in the tooth Jagr," but then he goes and loses them.
-
And I think this is the difference between a tear down and evaluating a trade. GMTM won't give away a roster player to rid himself of a contract, but he will listen to all offers. I think we traded players last year i.e. Flynn, just to clear the roster. That is unlikely to happen this year. Again, JMHO.
-
He said product launch not rocket launch.
-
Same. Unless you believe you have the horses to finish the race, keep acquiring horses. I do not think this is the year. I don't think CJ is the future. I keep working until I have that resolved. We need 1 maybe 2 scoring wingers and another LHD. I never thought and still do not think we are a playoff team. But that is jmho.
-
No. I think judicious leverage of assets isn't tanking its...judicious use of assets. McGinn could be a trade and sign situation as well. Send him to a playoff contender with the wink wink nudge nudge that we would like to talk to you in the offseason. McGinn gets a playoff taste and we could resign him if he is so inclined. Assuming Lehner is healthy, dumping CJ would clear the decks for an extensive workload and evaluation for him. I would send Linus to the A to play every night and bring up someone else. I would do this regardless of where we are in the standings at the deadline. And no I don't call this tanking. I call it management.

The "There Is Nothing Wrong With Jack Eichel" Thread
3putt replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
That makes sense. I sometimes feel people overlook the huge challenge it is to jump from draft eligible to the NHL. The NHL current rookie class is great. But Domi, Draisatl et al didn't make the leap in their draft year. If I remember correctly from the 2014 class there was Ekblad Bennet to a lesser degree and Pasternak. -
The "There Is Nothing Wrong With Jack Eichel" Thread
3putt replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
I find your curve comment confusing. In their respective draft years Samson was sent back to junior. Eichel is the 3rd leading scorer on the team. If anything Jack is ahead of the curve not behind it. With that said both are still young players and I am happy that both are developing into good/ potentially great players.
