Holy hell! Ben Harpur & the non-innocent hockey criminals. Two questions: 1) What was the Amerks' response on-ice? Because I don't see any related PIMs in the box score... and 2) What kind of suspension is needed for a pre-meditated charge of the goalie's head into the crossbar by a 230# D-man? Half a season? Full season? Or NHL style -- 3 games?

Two excellent games from Luukkonen and suddenly the Sabres are at a team sv % of .896. This isn't great, but it's tied for 13th with NYI in the league. Luukkonen should get the next start because there are no back-to-backs upcoming. And, if Levi can get a 3rd quality start in his next game (and they win this time), all the better.

He’s finally starting to get his shots through to the net. He had one last night that was easily deflected, but he’s doing much better overall. I think about 5-6 games in he had 2 shots on goal on 10+ shot attempts. Now, in addition to the goals, there are rebound assists, etc. He’s shooting before the defensive forward can get in position.

E Johnson was willing for the first month or so, but his body was not able to at that point. They finally found someone who is both willing and able. It also helps to have new blood across the bottom 6 to lead by example. It’s not all on Zucker to be a savior.

In the sense that every event that occurs makes history? This was an historic post! Most impressive. Also pretty fun, every forward was exactly +1. The D messed it up a bit. Byram being over exuberant.

So... Yeah. I usually do ESPN because I can toggle to MLB or NFL games if they're concurrent, despite ESPN being garbage with hockey. But, Zucker didn't have an assist on the Greenway goal on ESPN, so I went to the NHL site.

Did you know that if you go to NHL.com to look at the boxscore during an intermission, the Game Summary screen shows little animated Zambonis going around the rink? That's fun. Good job, NHL.com!
