Listen to that crowd when Gaustad touches a guy, or when Afinogenov carries the puck (in the first 5 minutes). It's louder than for Eichel. (But, please do stay hydrated) From sunny Seattle, I will report that although sequestered in my cell in the detention area (aka working remote/staying home), I got a sore throat all the same. Is it it? Who knows. But the sore throat was there Friday, weakened, went down to nothing Saturday, and is now back a little bit on Sunday. I intend to kick its ass (again, if it is it) and make mention of power (play) converters again next season and three or four many seasons thereafter. Alas, if all goes the way of the Death Star, I vow to Force-Moulson-Ehrhoff-Ghost all the game day threads with many a Star Wars quote until we win a Cup.

This will be a day long remembered. We've seen the end of Season and we'll soon see the end of the Rebellion. Stay safe out there 'Spacers! And find a new hobby? Hobby, you still with me? (Don't take this one lightly, all signs are it incubates for a long time meaning you can feel great for a week, and even then have only minor symptoms yourself, and still infect those you care about who might not have the system to withstand it.)

Wow. But yes -- the NHL will have to follow suit, there's a lot of stadium/locker room crossover there. Here in Seattle it's already pretty wild (a usual 1 hour commute is in 30 minutes, or pretty much no slow downs whatsoever), so it is only a matter of time until lockdowns are pretty much mandatory for our population to wait it out.

Agreed wholeheartedly. It was more a question of --- if he is, then maybe JBot is absolved of other errors. But in reality, Kahun looks like a good middle-six winger or 3C. I too, want a legit minutes-eater who can take pressure off Jack and Angry Larry (or whomever is 4C next year) and take draws with the game on the line in either zone.

Then his acquisition should have no bearing on JBot's future. I'd like to see Kahun get a chance to play 3C next year.

Can he play 2C (and win defensive faceoffs) while Cozens learns the ropes?

I don't like the shootout, in principle, but I like winning shooutouts.

This Sabres team has played like this for several good stretches this season. The start, the Eichel point streak where the GLO line took off, the end of the homestand into the COL/VGK. The sad part is that they've also manage 3 lengthy pits (9 of 10, 7 of 8, and this current 6-game streak). Those undo what is a growing team and are pretty much our main source of hate-leads-to-suffering on the season. Tonight is a darn fine game. And disinterest or no, the Caps have their hands full tonight.

I mean... we can all agree Frolik shouldn't have dressed much at all in our sweater this season since acquired... but these lines look right. And he's just been so undeserving of ice time. It's even more noticeable with Vesey-Lazar-Simmonds as grind line #2.

Can we all agree that, based on play tonight, Frolik shouldn't dress in the Sabres crest the remainder of the season?

I want the next Wayne Simmonds. I want the guy who's 24 who's about to have Simmonds-level career years with his playing style. As to this Wayne. Sure, I'd take him on a 1-year 1.8M deal... vet 4th liner who could go up to 3W as he is right now. But if he gets over 2.2, I can't. I need to be able to find guys to do his role for less than that. Our issue is we've got a really good 4th line that's overpaid because of KO, so we have to be really careful on duplicating roles with NHL salaries there.

Do this 2 out of 3 games over an entire season and you're a bona fide playoff team.
