  1. I couldn't remember Bernier's name last week, either.
  2. If my math is correct, the Sabres were 22-24-4 in the 50 games he dressed. That would make it 9-6-1 without him in the lineup so far. (7-5-1 scratched/injured; 2-1 post-trade) It's not as nice a W-to-L correlation as Bryson has this season.
  3. This was my thought as well. Robinson or VO (or maybe Rousek if dressed)... if the Sabres win, one of them plays a key role tonight.
  4. They're very, very good. And now for the fun "sample size" we'd all be hearing about if this were at the beginning of the season: Byram's got a Corsi of 59%, pacing 82 goals, and +109 for a full season. 😇
  5. Currently 31-35. Get back to real/DeLuca .500 for the start of April (with all games remaining vs the East) and then you can say there’s a chance.
  6. If you're going to stop the game for a concussion protocol, take him out of the game.
  7. The Wings will try to send a message for Saturday. And for themselves to get out of this rut and stay in the playoff spot. Answer the call. And don't be afraid to escalate it. For UPL.
  8. Not really. But he has more career fights than a whole bunch of other Sabres.
  9. Detroit intermission guy just called them the Bills. The 7 on the scoreboard will do that.
  10. Krebs... you're a -1 tonight. Go get a danged goal. (And start a fight)
  11. UPL! Hey, defenseman! It doesn't matter if you drove him into UPL or not, you take offense and go get that guy! Dang it. Go get them!
  12. Not until it reveals itself at the most inopportune time? JJP!!!
  13. Yes, but if you can take advantage of being lucky, you can still go back to sustainable in the following seasons. I also want to the sustained greatness, but I'm not going to turn down the outlier season. It's the same idea as get hot at the right time in the playoffs. Get to the dance, then maybe your power play carries you for 2 weeks (like the Sabres in '99).
  14. Their shooting percentage has been regressing all season. They've still got a +56 goal differential and are 1 point off a President's Trophy pace. That'd be pretty nice next year.
  15. Maybe, just maybe, Byram was the Hronek to Dahlin's Quinn. Or rather, Byram is the Quinn and Dahlin is the Hronek. And next year, the Sabres will be this season's Canucks.
  16. Joker... the shot there was to the far side pad, make him get the rebound past Greenway. Good shot, BB-4!
  17. Well... the Sabres ratings are down, but TV sales are through the roof.
