    I really want good things for Skinner but I think his best days as a Sabre are behind him. The tools seem to be there but nothing happens much when he uses them. Maybe a different line combination?

    I remember that Sanderson one handed goal. Those Sabres gave you a reason to love the team. Dmen going down low when they were supposed to. Forwards going to the dirty areas. Backing each other up on plays. Someday it will be like that again.

    It’s an extreme. If it goes bad that’s the worst case scenario. Best case he gets the surgery, recovers and carries on a long career.

    Sabres should just let the guy get the surgery. He’s done being a Sabre and clearly winning isn’t the priority next year. If the surgery works then I assume it helps his trade value. If it ends his career that’s his problem. I’m confident an Eichel retirement would not set the team back too far because there’s not much further back it can go.
