I hope he stays up in the same or similar role. I think it’s been a good way to develop without a lot of pressure and with some good linemates to guide him.

Overestimating the talent is spot on. I have to believe the lack of substantial moves is because KA thought we’d be an offensive juggernaut that just needs a little better defense. Getting Clifton and keeping Bryson was stupid. Keeping VO just because Quinn is injured is unnecessary IMO. He was scratched and no negative impact resulted. Translation, VO is non essential personnel.

I don’t think they’re lazy. I do think they aren’t following instructions though. They might have an inflated sense of their offensive capability. Could be a train of thought they are skilled enough not to have to get dirty goals.

I would agree and I see where you are coming from but the on ice decision making is ridiculous. Multiple times I have seen TT make an unnecessary and low percentage pass instead of using his cannon of a shot. I totally agree KO is done. IMO he is no longer an NHL caliber player. Girgs is heading in that direction.

Yep, that’s a rebuild. Problem is it took 12 years for the franchise to realize what a rebuild looks like. Us fans are so jaded, rightfully so, that it’s sucks. Looking back, I imagine that three year timeframe is what Darcy meant by suffering.

After the first two losses I said those two losses are essentially not something to worry about at that point. Now I am in the worry camp. Other teams are pulling away and November into December may be a sprint just to catch up. That leaves only about two months or so to pull away and secure a playoff birth.

I said this last season. DG is a developmental horse whisperer guy. As an assistant coach under an experienced and successful head coach, the team would benefit IMO. That said, wins and losses are on the players. Not DG fault TT tries to make stupid passes or that Tuch has been irrelevant.
