  1. Sabres need to start putting a hurtin on TOR. Line some of their guys up and send a message.
  2. TOR will come out blazing. Sabres better figure out a way to dig deep and hit them with speed, passing, and forechecking. Team defense will mean the difference in this one. Whoever is in net won’t be able to afford letting in a soft goal.
  3. Onto goalie decision watch for tomorrow. If I were Ruff I would tuck Lyon in bed, read him a story, take his devices away, make sure he gets his rest, and start him tomorrow. Ellis did good but he has one game under his belt and TOR will be harder to play against after tonight. Not sure tomorrow is the best opportunity to reintegrate UPL for the same reason.
  4. Only issue was the breakaways in the first but they fixed that. Would like Benson to be more selfish in those empty net opportunities. Maybe work on being more disciplined and less penalties. Good game though. .500 team after an 0-3 start.
  5. Just get to .500 and then go 2-1 in the final three games. If that happens I’d be happy. I’d even be ok with 5-5-1 for October considering injuries.
  6. That was a helluva conditioning stint.
  7. This was a skill based game and the Sabres came out on top. Seeing Ellis win in his debut was awesome. Thompson and Tuch not producing. SMH. Tuch did provide good screens though. Thompson looks sluggish and lacks attention to detail.
  8. More Benson and less Quinn type players. Less injury prone players. Benson TBD Thompson TBD Norris Tuch Zucker McLeod Kulich TBD Krebs TBD Dahlin Byram Kesserling TBD TBD Timmins
  9. Traveling between Buffalo and Toronto, no. If they lose KA will say it does though.
  10. I think we need a legitimate 1C. Norris is a talented player but injuries make him unreliable. I’d say add Norris to the “should we trade” category. And….. Tuch. Between those three I think we could get two top six forwards and a second pair defenseman. If we have to throw in a draft pick then ok. OP would do well on a team that has foundational physicality. Kind of like how Eichel does well where he doesn’t have to be the leader, he just plays. Similarly OP could just be an offensive forward. I think both the Sabres and OP would benefit from trading him to the right team.
