  1. To justify my hypothetical that won’t happen. I think a lot of success this season hinged on Norris working out. Since he is broke for a significant amount of time, shouldn’t the team be looking to acquire a player? If we go a long time without a big piece to the offense we risk falling way behind in the standings. So why do that?
  2. You gotta do something to stick out on T.V.
  3. The Sabres were shut out at home by the New York Rangers 4-0 on Thursday. Buffalo is without forwards Zach Benson and Josh Norris due to injury. The Bruins are 2-0-0 after a 4-3 win in overtime over the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday at TD Garden. Boston has scored a power play goal in both games this season. Buffalo Sabres Projected Lines Zucker-Kulich-Thompson Quinn-McLeod-Tuch Doan-Krebs-Danforth Malenstyn-Kozak-Geertsen Byram-Dahlin Power-Timmins Samuelsson-Johnson Boston Bruins Projected Lines Geekie-E. Jason Zuckerand Tage Thompson each had five. Boston Bruins Tanner Jeannot scored his first goal as a Bruin on Thursday. Elias Lindholm has scored in each of the first two games for Boston. 4. Just theoretically. IF (big if) Norris was traded I think we would still get a top six forward. Just not a center. Maybe even off load Muel in the deal somehow. Benson Thompson New Guy Zucker Kulich Tuch Won’t happen. Just a hypothetical to have fun with the situation.
  5. Mariners and Tigers. The never ending story.
  6. It’s more like the Owen Power Play. Weak as hell not an overly positive factor in a game.
  7. This isn’t a very competitive roster even if fully healthy. It’s constructed for the sole purpose of just squeezing into the playoffs. Our biggest contract worry is a second liner. We have a sub .900 starting goalie We are banking on two guys (Benson and Quinn) who haven’t produced a lot. Our 1C is made of glass his whole young career. We have two literal giant softies on defense.
  8. 2/3 of our first line didn’t drink enough milk this week. So are we looking at?: Zucker McLeod Thompson Quinn Kulich Tuch TBD Krebs Doan Malenstyn TBD Danforth
  9. Good defense and goaltending. PP is garbage. PK looked good. Doan and Danforth look like nice additions. This was a game where the offensive weapons should have found a way but they failed. Fanbase is tired and management doesn’t care enough to make meaningful changes. I said I’d give them October though.
  10. First game in pursuit of just squeezing into the playoffs.
  11. It will be the Blue Jays and Dodgers.
  12. 1) Sabres point total? 90 2) Will the Sabres makes the playoffs? No 3) Sabres leading goal scorer? Thompson 4) Sabres leader in total points? Thompson 5) Sabres MVP? Thompson 6) Sabres ROY? None 7) Best off-season acquisition? Norris 8.) Worst off-season acquisition? A goalie 9) Biggest surprise? (positive or negative) Benson positive/Quinn negative 10) Breakout player? Benson 11) Will any Sabres players or coaches finish as finalists (win?) for any major awards such as the Norris or Selke? No 12) Unsung hero? Byram 13) Who will be the first Sabre traded away this season? Quinn 14) Will KA make any in-season acquisitions before the deadline? No 15) Will the Sabres be buyers or sellers at the deadline? Sellers 16) Other bold prediction? {Such as KA gets fired mid-season ;)} Thompson requests a trade 17) Any other thoughts? Lots
  13. Aren’t they making tickets really cheap to entice people?
  14. IMO this club crossed the line the day “F off and die” was used followed by attempts to explain it away. Shortly after, the overt calling for the U.S. to “burn” down and advocation of people suffering to achieve a political/ideological goal. Whether in agreement or not this club has documented statements of a radicalized nature within less than a year of the current POTUS election. Shut it down.
  15. 11 games in October I think. We’ll know what this team is by November. Is Geertsen in the lineup as a response to Rempe?
  16. I don’t know why but I’m starting to like Eichel and VGK.
  17. I don’t see how locking doors would make people feel like they don’t want to live somewhere. People lock their cars, put their money in a bank. Then again not everyone locks their guns up which is a separate but similar issue. I don’t disagree about FUD. Even if everything was peachy I’d still lock my house at night and when I leave. We can disagree on that because to me it’s a simple thing to do that yields a measure of security but does not intrude on my quality of life. Rather it helps protect my quality of life.
  18. I am willing to bet that is a result of doxxing. It proves my point that it is a serious concern. Why do you act the way you do on this site? I’m asking in the most general terms. You’re probably the most abrasive poster in the hockey threads. You demand people respond to your questions but don’t follow the same rules. You act like if both sides aren’t represented in a political post that there is some conspiracy. Most recently you act like what you post on here is somehow going to make you a target and got over dramatic. And you feel the need to announce when you will no longer participate in a thread, hockey and political. That’s attention seeking.
  19. With 11 games in October we’ll know what team we have by November. Give them the first month but if they aren’t above .500 come 1 November I would be worried. Just me though.
  20. This game won’t define the season for either team. Announcers hyping them up generates interest and money. I wouldn’t read much into it.
  21. I mean if you think it’s funny people in general are doxxing and swatting, whatever. It puts families in danger which I’m guessing is why they wear masks. SWAT teams wear masks depending on what they’re doing. Undercover cops wear masks and they pose as not being cops. As far as vetting goes what you said is not true. Their vetting program lines up with programs I have seen for decades. https://www.ice.gov/careers/vetting DHS uses the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency as its Cognizant Security Agency. DCSA is pretty much the largest CSA in terms of the number of agencies that do their vetting through them. As far as throwing people around, the days of surrounding people and blocking vehicles are done. Regular citizens quit putting up with this. People aren’t intimidated by these tactics or being screamed at anymore. It is extremely dangerous to allow a crowd to surround your vehicles and block routes of movement. Protesting is fine but trying to intimidate doesn’t fly.
  22. Probably because the issue doesn’t elicit that type of response from conservatives. When 2A comes up they fill this streets with gun toting people chanting all kinds of stuff. Then there’s doxxing. Apparently that and swatting have increased a bit. Add to that, leftists have shown a tendency to agitate wherever ICE is. https://www.naag.org/attorney-general-journal/the-escalating-threats-of-doxxing-and-swatting-an-analysis-of-recent-developments-and-legal-responses/ Now add in the belief that ICE’s actions are unconstitutional, the plethora of online gray propaganda using nazis as a means to elicit an emotional response from the more susceptible people. In total you have more overt violent actions from the left due to prescribed emotional responses stemming from propaganda that takes advantage of a protective measure (face masks) against an increasing threat (doxxing). Dont worry I have no belief any of this resonate. I’ll just say it for you guys. nazis everywhere, victims everywhere, the country is coming to an end, words are violence, so on so on.
  23. Protesting is one thing. This is asking to be a case study in Darwinism.
  24. It’s not. -Hamas wants to use the releasing of hostages as a bargaining chip. Trump wants a cease fire. https://www.cnn.com/world/live-news/israel-gaza-hamas-trump-10-04-25 https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna234632 -IMO blowing up drug boats yields little return so I wonder if it’s meant to provoke the cartels justifying a bigger U.S. response. We can’t bomb the drug fields inside sovereign countries but if the cartels respond with attacks on U.S. vessels, embassies, or DoS personnel that’s different.
