  1. More Benson and less Quinn type players. Less injury prone players. Benson TBD Thompson TBD Norris Tuch Zucker McLeod Kulich TBD Krebs TBD Dahlin Byram Kesserling TBD TBD Timmins
  2. Traveling between Buffalo and Toronto, no. If they lose KA will say it does though.
  3. I think we need a legitimate 1C. Norris is a talented player but injuries make him unreliable. I’d say add Norris to the “should we trade” category. And….. Tuch. Between those three I think we could get two top six forwards and a second pair defenseman. If we have to throw in a draft pick then ok. OP would do well on a team that has foundational physicality. Kind of like how Eichel does well where he doesn’t have to be the leader, he just plays. Similarly OP could just be an offensive forward. I think both the Sabres and OP would benefit from trading him to the right team.
  4. No. His body positioning was decent. The entire team had terrible puck management. My only issue is he reverted back to playing like a fourth forward at times.
  5. Absolutely terrible on the defensive side. They gave way too much space to their forwards for the first half of the game. Defensive zone giveaways (counted or not) killed them. Seemed half the game one of two DMen were caught in the O-zone. Lucky that didn’t blow the game open for MTL. Offensively I have one question. Do Tage Thompson and Alex Tuch still play for this team? Thompson had a couple good moments and Tuch was non existent in this game. When the Sabres applied pressure MTL had glaring defensive breakdowns. Sabres couldn’t make that a regular thing because of pucks bouncing off their sticks or making off balance passes that killed plays. Lyon again gave this team a chance and they ****** him. Edit: I give Thompson credit for dropping the gloves. Second game in a row Dahlin was literally attacked. At some point Dahlin needs to fight back himself.
  6. From AI: Yes, the Buffalo Sabres game tonight (October 20) against the Montreal Canadiens will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. and will also be broadcast on MSG Buffalo and RDS. Game: Buffalo Sabres vs. Montreal Canadiens Time: 7:30 p.m. Where to watch: Amazon Prime Video, MSG Buffalo, and RDS How to watch: You can stream the game through the Prime Video app or website.
  7. So, we get the backup who has been doing well in the two games he played so far this year. Per ChatGPT: Jakub Dobes, the Montreal Canadiens' goaltender, has faced the Buffalo Sabres once in his NHL career. In that game on March 1, 2025, Dobes secured a 4-2 road victory at KeyBank Center. He made 23 saves on 25 shots, maintaining a strong performance throughout the game. After allowing two goals in quick succession during the second period, Dobes shut out the Sabres for the remainder of the match, contributing to Montreal's fourth consecutive win Then Geertsen either steps up or gets benched, never to wear a Sabres uniform again.
  8. I don't recall Gertsen doing a lot with Rempe. He did grab two FLA players at the same time for a few seconds. Xhekaj is a big tough customer. If he takes liberties with any Sabres players, this will be a test for Geertsen.
  9. I thought I remember seeing Bryson take a hit in the FLA game.
  10. I just want them to get to .500. Then it’s like a fresh start for the rest of the month. Let’s just right the ship and move forward.
  11. I’ll give the GDTs a rest after this game if anyone else wants a chance.
  12. The Buffalo Sabres visit the Montreal Canadiens after Josh Doan's two-goal game against the Florida Panthers in the Sabres' 3-0 win. Montreal has gone 4-2 overall with a 1-1-0 record in Atlantic Division play. The Canadiens have gone 3-1-0 in games decided by one goal. Buffalo has a 2-1-0 record in Atlantic Division play and a 2-3 record overall. The Sabres have conceded 14 goals while scoring 13 for a -1 scoring differential.
  13. Probably gives KA some false sense of security.
  14. The Buffalo Sabres host the Florida Panthers after Ryan McLeod scored two goals in the Sabres' 8-4 win against the Ottawa Senators. Buffalo went 36-39-7 overall and 10-13-3 in division games last season. The Sabres scored 43 power-play goals last season on 229 chances for an 18.8% success rate. Florida had a 47-31-4 record overall and went 20-16-2 in Atlantic Division play last season. The Panthers scored 246 goals while giving up 223 for a +23 goal differential last season.
  15. There’s 78 games over six months left. The mental resilience to root for chaos that long doesn’t exist.
  16. I would continue with Lyon and make UPL the backup. Gives UPL a chance to ease back into it.
  17. It’s not too early to worry but it’s not late enough to panic. They could still finish the month above .500.
  18. Stats speak louder than words. Only thing giving hope for a win is OTT gives up a ton of goals and their PK is almost as bad as our PP. A stoppable force meets a movable object tonight!
  19. How can you be so successful as a business man without knowing basic leadership? This guy sucks and I’m wondering if actual intelligent people made the business moves for him.
  20. We keep coming back to the bold every couple years.
  21. What were the numbers for the first 10 games last year compared to this year? Might be a good thread to kick back up at the end of the month. Thanks
  22. Had to work today so I missed the game. I figured this one would be a loss. Colorado is a good team. Judging from the posts there wasn't much effort again.
  23. Just had a conversation with the wife about Tuch. I explained a short history of good players the Sabres trade who then win a cup. She asked, so the Sabres are like a farm team?
