There’s always going to be guys like Wilson. Unfortunately something bad might cost a guy his career.

Supposedly it’s an outlet preventing acts of retribution by guys with sticks. As far as Oleksiak goes, he chose to fight. Unless someone in management said fight or be cut it’s on him. One lucky punch and it goes the other way.

Man after his mistake what do you think Toronto would give for him? ?

I don’t know much about it but I can’t see it being locker room issues. My guess is he doesn’t like his ice time. If so his response is not in line with the current culture of this team. Z and Johan have found their niches. They can keep the play going in the O-Zone and are possibly the best defensive minded forwards on this team IMO.

Finally some primary scoring. Can’t remember the last time Eichel and Skinner scored. Beating the bruins is like seeing your wife in those holiday pajamas that fit juuuust right. Gives you a warm feeling all over.

You could call them the Little Rascals.

Hard to believe a one inch wide stick was the difference. This team can definitely play with the best. Couple more pieces and the games will be even better to watch. This season awesome.

Was Tennyson in for Pilut because Phil thought age would bring needed experience against the Caps? If not then why not play Pilut instead. Kid is patient with the puck and has good vision. I still don’t get the shootout lineup. Nevertheless good game. With the right D lineup and Sam threading the needle of an open net we win 4 to 2 against the champs. Still got a point.

This might be one of those games where both teams score a ton. Ovi over the years seems to only involve himself in play when there’s a scoring opportunity. The guy really just sits on the dot like a statue during the PP until the one-timer comes. i only see one way to avoid it and that’s play disciplined, no penalties. Let Wilson give us PPs. Risto’s ice time hopefully matches Ovechkin’s.

I dunno. Mitts kinda has a face only a mother could love. But hey maybe he hits on Pominville himself and is successful.

If he gets to Eichel before Bogo gets to him i don’t think anyone will worry about how low you gotta go. He knows he just received a concussion. If Wilson goes head hunting we return the favor. Last time we didn’t turned out real well. However a well placed hit early on might make him think twice.

He just got concusses. One cheap is open season on his career. one edit. I’m serious. Guy is a tool.

IMO Eichel needs a shorter stick. Imagine how terrible of a time it would be to defend against him with those hands and speed if he wasn’t dragging the puck four feet behind. Shorter time/distance to get a shot off.

Glad to get a win but do we need that many PP opportunities to get a PP goal? I vote for Sam to PP2 and Sherry to PP1 and Sam to FL2.

Everything will be back to normal next GDT.

Ya I think I’m over the loss now. Went through the whole emotions process so maybe this was getting it out my system. Onwards to the next game.

Pilut has played well in short time and IMO should stay. TBH I only put Mitts because other people did but right now I could see Sheary taking his place on the list.

He did score two goals. Maybe if we didn’t have two guys carrying the scoring load. I have heard of this myth called secondary scoring. It exists on teams who live in a magical land known to only a few as “Contenders”. First period PHL didn’t belong on the same ice. Sabres were creative and relentless. They used the points to move the puck and pinch. This resulted in Jacks second goal. His first was a result of his deceptive speed coming through the neutral zone and opening up across the line. Dman could not transition quick enough to cut the shooting angle. Second period Phl got physical. A few missed calls by the refs I think emboldened Phl’s physicality. This shed light on our inability to counter a physical game. However it was a sloppy play by Sam which led to the SH goal. IMO this is where Phl took our confidence and put it through the meat grinder. Third period Phl didn’t look as physical but the Sabres checked out mentally. Sloppy passing and poor coverage sealed the deal.
