Net 6 goals (11PPG - 5SHG) on 98 power plays. 6.1%, by far the worst in the NHL (Carolina is next with 10.6% ((13PPG-3SHG)/94 opportunities)).

That SHGA broke a tie, and we now are in sole possession of "first" place in that category. On the flip side, we're #2 in shorthanded goals for, with the same number of goals (5).

16-2-4...time to make it 17-2-4. -

IMO, people are putting way too much stock into 2 games by Enroth, neither of which happened in the same season, let alone this one. -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7E-aoXLZGY I'm far too pedantic to agree with him (regarding pedantry), but I respect Stephen Fry.

What did Kaleta do? -
It's nice to see Vanek as the league point leader, however short that reign may be.

You could take his worst performance of the year, 55 yards against Miami, add that twice more for two extra games, and he'd still beat Dickerson's record. There really is no doubt, barring a freak injury. I feel the same way, even though my post might not be taken that way. That's one of the reasons I was pulling so hard for Peterson the last couple weeks.

Still waiting for someone to beat OJ's record for rushing yards per game in a single season.

3 years in the championship game, 64-66. 4 years in the championship game, 90-93. 2017 isn't that far away.

If you guys want a zombie story during the hiatus, and don't mind audio-only, there's a pretty good podcast I've been listening to for a while called We're Alive. It's like old radio dramas, with a full cast of actors. Each "chapter" is (usually) split up into 3 parts, around 15-20 minutes each, with 12 chapters per season, and they just finished season 3 (with one more planned).

Definitely. No matter how much my brain tries to reason with me, I can't help but hold out hope until mathematical elimination.

Despite Buffalo winning 24-10 so far, I'm not a big fan of these refs so far.

Two turnovers inside the 1 yard line in the fourth quarter of a game in which you lose by 6...thanks, Buffalo. I appreciate it.

CJ has 451 rushing yards in the past 4 weeks, with the only stinker coming against Minnesota. He put up 141 on Houston's vaunted D. He started the season abysmally, but appears to be getting his groove back.

So apparently that Fitz "fumble" also counted as a sack somehow, thus breaking the streak of no sacks. Edit: Maybe that's just ESPN. NFL.com doesn't list that play as a sack. Edit again: I take that back, it's listed as a sack on NFL.com too. I don't understand how that can be a sack.

It really is so much nicer being up 21-0 rather than down 21-0, isn't it?

Spoken like someone who didn't watch the game. The 49ers lost because of their special teams.

The Atlantic division has 3 of the top 4 teams in the East as far as goals against are concerned this last season. It's ludicrous to say they're in the weakest division.

I'm a bit late to this party, but welcome back, PASabreFan.

Great news. I know his playcalling ("SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRES") rubs some people the wrong way, but in my limited experience, there is none better in the league at actually calling the play-by-play. Congratulations, Rick

Possible spoiler from the comic book because I can't remember if they touched on this in the show or not:

I remain cautiously optimistic. A win against the Jets will go a long way in my book. The Bills were 5-2 and tied with the Patriots for first in 2008 as well.

Home: 2008, 34-10 against Seattle. Road: 1996, 23-20 against the Giants.

If I didn't overlook anything, that's only the 2nd time since 1994 that Buffalo won by 34 or more points. The other was in 2004 in San Francisco by the same 41-7 score.
