The Sabres were already down 4-0 when he came in for Miller against Montreal, so Miller gets the L. When he left the game against the Devils, the score was tied, so Miller got the L (and would have gotten the W if the Sabres won that shootout).

It happened exactly 2 minutes after the penalty. That's a PPG in my eyes, whether or not it gets recorded as such.
