  1. Still waiting for someone to beat OJ's record for rushing yards per game in a single season.
  2. 3 years in the championship game, 64-66. 4 years in the championship game, 90-93. 2017 isn't that far away.
  3. If you guys want a zombie story during the hiatus, and don't mind audio-only, there's a pretty good podcast I've been listening to for a while called We're Alive. It's like old radio dramas, with a full cast of actors. Each "chapter" is (usually) split up into 3 parts, around 15-20 minutes each, with 12 chapters per season, and they just finished season 3 (with one more planned).
  4. Definitely. No matter how much my brain tries to reason with me, I can't help but hold out hope until mathematical elimination.
  5. Despite Buffalo winning 24-10 so far, I'm not a big fan of these refs so far.
  6. Two turnovers inside the 1 yard line in the fourth quarter of a game in which you lose by 6...thanks, Buffalo. I appreciate it.
  7. CJ has 451 rushing yards in the past 4 weeks, with the only stinker coming against Minnesota. He put up 141 on Houston's vaunted D. He started the season abysmally, but appears to be getting his groove back.
  8. So apparently that Fitz "fumble" also counted as a sack somehow, thus breaking the streak of no sacks. Edit: Maybe that's just ESPN. NFL.com doesn't list that play as a sack. Edit again: I take that back, it's listed as a sack on NFL.com too. I don't understand how that can be a sack.
  9. It really is so much nicer being up 21-0 rather than down 21-0, isn't it?
  10. Spoken like someone who didn't watch the game. The 49ers lost because of their special teams.
  11. The Atlantic division has 3 of the top 4 teams in the East as far as goals against are concerned this last season. It's ludicrous to say they're in the weakest division.
  12. I'm a bit late to this party, but welcome back, PASabreFan.
  13. Great news. I know his playcalling ("SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRES") rubs some people the wrong way, but in my limited experience, there is none better in the league at actually calling the play-by-play. Congratulations, Rick
  14. Possible spoiler from the comic book because I can't remember if they touched on this in the show or not:
  15. I remain cautiously optimistic. A win against the Jets will go a long way in my book. The Bills were 5-2 and tied with the Patriots for first in 2008 as well.
  16. Home: 2008, 34-10 against Seattle. Road: 1996, 23-20 against the Giants.
  17. If I didn't overlook anything, that's only the 2nd time since 1994 that Buffalo won by 34 or more points. The other was in 2004 in San Francisco by the same 41-7 score.
  18. Wow, this is crazy. I didn't think Buffalo would put up 40+ points in ANY game this season, especially after trading away Evans.
  19. It's actually an 11-0-1 run. They have 2 more wins that are too far back to fit into the L10 record. If Buffalo pulled that off, then I'd start to believe.
  20. Someone is going to get a shutout loss. Hopefully it's not Miller.
  21. I like how, since Enroth has done well this game, suddenly Pittsburgh is offensively challenged. They're offensively challenged even though they're 5-0-1 in their last 6 and have the 3rd most goals for in the conference. Yup, that's offensively challenged.
  22. No, he wasn't. The official scoring summary is as follows: 1 1 4:57 EV L.A 23 D.BROWN(9) 11 A.KOPITAR(13) 3 J.JOHNSON(13) 2, 3, 11, 23, 45, 74 |9, 26, 27, 30, 52, 63 2 2 0:37 EV BUF 44 A.SEKERA(2) 42 N.GERBE(3) 57 T.MYERS(4) 5, 13, 19, 22, 44, 45 | 28, 30, 36, 42, 44, 57 3 2 8:25 EV L.A 17 W.SIMMONDS(4) 5 P.HARROLD(2) 5, 15, 17, 26, 44, 45 | 20, 25, 27, 30, 52, 63 4 2 15:22 PP BUF 26 T.VANEK(7) 9 D.ROY(14) 19 T.CONNOLLY(8) 7, 8, 11, 26, 45 | 9, 19, 26, 29, 30, 57 5 3 2:10 PP BUF 19 T.CONNOLLY(5) 26 T.VANEK(9) 29 J.POMINVILLE(2) 2, 7, 22, 26, 45 | 9, 19, 26, 29, 30, 57 6 3 15:21 EV BUF 55 J.HECHT(2) 29 J.POMINVILLE(3) 4 S.MONTADOR(8) 3, 8, 13, 15, 17, 45 | 3, 4, 19, 29, 30, 55 On the ice for 3 of 4 Buffalo goals, neither of the Los Angeles goals. His power play points came against the best PK unit in the league.
  23. No, that was a power play goal so it doesn't factor into a +/- rating. He was even at that point because he wasn't on the ice for any LAK goals. Despite both of his points coming on the PP, he was a +1 for the game. So, he was on the ice for 3 out of 4 Buffalo goals and no Los Angeles goals. He certainly deserves criticism, but not for tonight from your biased response.
  24. Haha, what a way to end a shootout. I'll take it.
  25. Going into this game, Stafford leads all forwards on the team in +/-, with a +4, which is interesting (Montador has +6). On the other end of the spectrum, Myers is a -9, ouch.
