All the Woulda-Coulda-Shouldas Layin' in the sun, Talkin' bout the things They woulda-coulda-shoulda done... But those Woulda-Coulda-Shouldas All ran away and hid From one little did. -Shel Silverstein

His first album is The Grand Tetons by Sneaky Mountains They say he's the breast new artist in town and they're gland he's entered the scene. Raise a cup for this titillating collection of songs, he's milking the competition!

    Than vs then

The one that gets me is loose vs lose. All the idiot MLM sellers on my facebook, "buy my crappy lularoe and essential oils , don't loose out!" :wallbash: another one I see frequently messed up: peek vs peak. "Come get a sneak peak" Yes, those mischievous sneaky mountains...
  4. :P Preferably I will be there sans work- I like to devote myself 100% to things I'm doing, and no one likes that person who scuttles into a corner and looks annoyed at the surrounding noise/merriment because they have to focus on something. It's nice to have so much work, but stressful too- everyone attacked in the last 48 hours needing their thing within the week or next week, meanwhile I have so many other projects coming due because i kept having to backburner them for the same kind of "I NEED IT SOOOON" deals...
  5. There's always the chance I'll pull a couple all nighters and be done by then too, but the one project could be prickly. Just don't judge if I bring my whole damn tablet setup with me and work through the game hahaha
  6. This, plus our washer exploding yesterday (at least we rent, so getting that replaced for free), and my hairdresser finding what could be skin cancer on my scalp but is more probably some dermal thing I got from working with lots of icky children... I mean, I've had skin cancer removed from my scalp before so... What a Monday
  7. Loved Black Panther. New fav character- General Okoye. I want her and Furiosa to go on epic road trips together. i painted her this afternoon. The colors in that movie were incredible
  8. It also made it easier to call you dorksabre. Because dfourksabre.
  9. Sorry I'm being such a b!tch, d4rk, Uncle Samson and Aunt Flo are in town, they're really painting the town red
  10. It's a frickin' hockey arena. It's supposed to be cold. It's downright toasty compared to going to your local rink to watch beer league or kids play. You don't go to a hockey game to hang out in your shorts and tank tops.
  11. Psh my old employer still hasn't given me my 401k money. Despite me asking a million times for 1.5 years.
  12. We're gonna need some spirits for sure
  13. I'm sorry to hear that. I really do wish you the best. --- Maybe I should add 4- Health. Here in the US, 2 can definitely affect it, but generally I think it's independent. And a clarification to how I see 3- not necessarily romantic relationships. A stable, understanding, loving relationship that fulfills you can be familial, or a friend, etc. especially if you're not interested in a significant other situation. Family to fall back on, a few friends who can bail you out in a tight spot, those are just as important if not more than a lover/spouse/etc. But not for all. haha yeah our group is very non woo-girl. Mostly nerdy, none of us are really show stoppers, expecting to kinda just enjoy whatever we want to without too much hassle. I'll stick to beer, I'm driving and bringing pbj for most of my meals. I dig all music, including country, so I'm looking forward to it. They just sprung a very pricey accommodation fee on me at the last minute and I'm scrambling to pull bucks together for it (bride has offered to pay my part but I feel evil saying yes to that).
  14. I think experiences come with the comfortable finances for me. I am wracked with guilt over the fact I'm going to my friend's bachelorette party in Nashville this April and it's going to cost me money. I haven't done anything for myself in a long time, everyone says Go Do it It's an Experience You Won't Regret It I want nothing more than to travel again. But even on a budget, it costs money and time that I cannot afford. I was lucky to travel a lot for most of my life, and now I know what I'm missing. Maybe it could be a number 4, but without 2, I couldn't do it. My 3 are otherwise pretty independent.
  15. I'm about ready to install one in our bathroom door for the actual cat. He can't handle not being in the bathroom with d4rk. He's slammed his furry little tank of a body against it so many times it no longer stays shut. This is incredibly problematic when I'm doing a drano treatment on the sink and he thinks it smells like something tasty. Closed doors don't stop him.
  16. Oh darling I thought you'd never ask  /s well, it made more sense 5 years ago cuz we had an outdoor area where you could sit and not make a giant hairy mess all over the apartment.
  17. I've come to believe that most people have 3 things they're striving for. 1- A fulfilling career 2- Comfortable finances 3- A loving/understanding/stable relationship I've never had all three at the same time, I doubt most people ever do. But I'm half on 1 and full on 3, so it ain't so bad. I used to have 2... that's very much gone and makes 1 feel worse. and I feel guilty as all hell that I can't contribute more. I USED to be the bread winner of the two of us! haha
  18. I feel the way about the Sabres this year as I do a long lasting winter. I'm dismayed by the piles of slop everywhere, it's certainly not ending when I imagined, but while I do get exasperated and grumble about the neverending grey, I will shuffle on through it because I know the sun and warmth will come at some point and to some effect. But I def have that feeling another winter storm or two will have to hit before it'll actually get better. ok, enough metaphors
  19. d4rk let me buzz from back of the neck down once or twice to clean things up, but I must've not been good at it because it hasn't happened in about 5 years haha
  20. Pissed off my shoulder. Pretty sure it's the AC Joint. First time actually injuring a shoulder, and no, I didn't hurt it in the pursuit of some amazing aerial artistry. Nope.. I did it by moving our giant sh!tty old ladder to rig. Thought it was a bruise at first- top of the shoulder by where the clavicle comes in. Then tried to do some basic movements. yeah.. it's mad. It's real mad. Had to spend the rest of the night working on it, lifting people, demoing moves, more rigging, etc... ugh. And I have my first paid public performance in a month. I need to be training my fat ass off, not "resting it". I hate getting old. And before y'all go "hey young millennial whippersnapper shush it", I am old for what I'm doing. Most are 16-25 years old. But us instructors are 30-35 and always have a "bad shoulder" or "problem joints", despite being so much more careful/stronger than the younger aerialists. Guess I've got mine now. oh, and the rest of my life is still mostly going nowhere.
  21. It's too bad so many listen to him. Also, that video is incredible. Thank you.
  22. The lady who does my hair has some absolute sh!t opinions. I still drive to Rochester to see her because 1) she's one of the few people in this world who can handle my bizzarre dual textured mop and 2) I'm an insanely loyal person and would feel terrible leaving unless I moved like.. really far away... (my dentist is still in rochester too...ok yeah i'm an idiot) But yeah, around the election she'd sling some doozies, sprinkles in casual racism/fear of brown people, often asks me where I stand on huge hot button political issues (gun control, cop violence, you name it). She's a nice person. I don't get the feeling she's the brightest. But I'm sitting in her chair for 45 minutes or longer if coloring (back when I could afford to do that), and flipping topics never worked well- usually that stuff came up around minute 30 or so. Over the last couple years, we've had some good and patient discussions and she's actually come towards the middle and opened her mind on minorities and such. I never tell her she's wrong, I usually explain why I see both sides and why I mostly agree with one, and I leave it there. Kinda neat watching her open up over time. I'd like to think I have a small part in that. But you guys are in and out of a tailor/barbershop in 15 minutes and probably don't wanna jaw with anyone anyways
  23. 5-10 inches of snow due thursday night through Friday... blurp
  24. Just make sure they give you enough. I've woken up during 2 procedures now- one was general, the other was the "twilight" stuff, but lemme tell you, I felt the pain and remembered it very clearly haha
  25. Just learned that if you're a NY state resident, you can get a New York Public Library card and access their online database, including Lynda.com for tutorials. Can't believe I didn't know that. Now maybe I can learn another program or two and be "good" enough for some effing place to hire my salty ass
