If I was a free agent goalie, I'd hesitate to sign with Buffalo. It's been a hockey wasteland for goalies in recent years.

Until they start playing better than before Darcy had the green light to spend $$$$, it looks a lot like it's change for the sake of change. There still isn't a single player on this team, or Rochester for that matter, that Darcy hasn't acquired. Last time I checked drafted players don't cost huge multi-million dollar contracts, so the lame excuse of cheap former owners doesn't excuse him for the players he's drafted over his time here.

The fact that he is on this roaster is an indictment of what we have in the organization, in my opinion. WE don't make the playoofs or go out in the first round for how many years now? It may not be fair to him, but our GM is a huge liability and TP is brainwashed. Waive him and let's see who picks him up.

Yep. It comes down to whether Darcy knows what he's doing. To me bringing Scott here shows the fact that we drafted too soft for too long. As many have said, good teams have skilled guys who can take care of themselves. I don't follow the league like I used to: WHAT teams dress an enforcer who is an AHL player besides us?

CHZ Yea I know all have a system and was out with my buds from college today so a little fired up....... and a beverage or two. Systems matter, but systems don't make up for lack of ability. Sorry if I offended anyone. I just don't think we have a cup team, so if Lindy is so safe, winning isn't critical. Furthermore, we don't have a problem selling the buildng in the short term. My media tells me my owner doesn't care about money. (LOL) So develop the talent. Hell, I've waited 40+ years. What the heck do one or two more matter if we get it right.

Phuck the system. Talent wins. We don't have enough. He needs to be a success or DR blew it again. I would hope Lindy "regrets" Grigs ice time because TP, thru DR, read him the F'N riot act. TP: "I've supported your a$$ and my GM. The cup in three years was a big mistake on my part because I am a fan and don't know shite about hockey. This team blew when I bought it. I told DR to build it thru the draft. I know that takes time, but if you don't trust our draft, your easy job as a coach for life is phucked." I COULD ONLY HOPE FOR THAT SCENARIO!!!!

No, he started on the 4th line. First shift with Scott and Gerbe after the other three lines had been established.

It was Kaleta-Hecht-Ott. That line started the game against Staal and he tried to match them all night. That third period statement was a lie that the interviewer let slide. He matched them ALL game when he could, yet got Grigs ice in the first. Lindy started to coach not to lose, which is his default mode. Gerbe didn't get much ice in the third.

Generally agree. However,the team's not quite ready as a whole. By that I mean for the season, but also by it's composition to win consistantly in today's NHL.

Apparently, didn't make much difference. I would say Miller kept last night closer than it could have been.
