Weber is playing well. I want to qualify that, but I cant. He's playing well. -
I'm with you on Myers, Potato. I kept hoping and hoping, but it's time to cut bait. Next time you see Goose, I'd be curious to see what his take on Myers is.

Good question. Today, it looked like they weren't working. But a superior team (as most NHL teams will be) may make us look like we're not working. Hard to look like we're working when we're being toyed with.

While we're ranting, can we get some mean defensemen. I'm getting to the point where I'd be alright with Myers going. I'm enamored with his skating for a big man, but if the mean streak isn't there, I don't see him being what we need. Who do we have that brings the nasty beside Weber (Nikita??). Anyone in the Roch pipeline?

Through 3 games, the only guys I see giving it their all on every shift have been Ennis, Weber and Deslauriers. That ain't gonna win many games (in our case none).

Where is the legendary TN work ethic? That's what I'm most disappointed in.

Columbus announcer just said the Sabres goal was scored by Rasmus Jurgensen. Seems like every team has a Rob Ray.

Typical Ted Nolan game (and team) thus far. Working for everything, looking overmatched, relying on great goaltending, entertaining. It's refreshing.

Agree. Always liked Ennis. Plays larger than he is. Great offensive skills. Gives all he has every shift. Doesn't throw teammates under the bus. A good Buffalo player in the right city. -
Ruhwedel is a poor man's Pysyk. Not sure if that is good, but I spelled both names correctly.

RIP Guy. Saw him play for the Buffalo Norsemen in the NAHL (see my avatar) in 75-76. Point per game player that year.

I wish I could take credit for the irony but it was just poor wording on my part. I am a contributor to the "Good whiskey/whisky" thread and I have obviously done a little too much research today.

Agreed. But they have to dump salary somehow. Maybe GMRH is that desperate.

Pronger and one of our 2015 seconds for a their 2015 first. (Salary dump for more McDavid chances) Anton Volchenkov for our 2015 3rd. With 3 (now 4 first rounders) we can afford to give up one of our 2nds and 3rd next year.
