    It's a joke they're carrying 3 goalies.    FITFO Kevyn.

I would dump UPL in a heartbeat.  I don't think this dude has it...at no level has he ever really performed well enough to make you think he is a #1 goalie other than a 9 game stretch in 2021-22 when he got hot for 4 games and had great numbers due to only allowing 2 goals in each of those games on lots of shots against. The other 5 games he was below average to abysmal.

His rebound control is among the worst in the NHL. The only thing he is consistent at is being inconsistent. Literally you don't know if you are getting a brick wall or a turnstile in goal that night with him.

If he wasn't 6'5" would the Sabres still be carrying him?  They seem obsessed with big goalies...if he was 6'0 like Levi, dude would have been sent packing a long time ago.

  2. Theoretically we should have a below average winter for Snow and possibly a much below average winter.  the most snow we have had in a strong El Nino year before was like 78 inches...usually it's 55 inches or lower.

Then again, the Lake has never been this warm either.

That’s great. An opinion. Ok. I have very strong opinions about 75% of the restaurants listed in the thread… But… Everybody’s preference is different. Everybody’s tastes are different. What works for you I might find to be  absolute garbage. And vice versa. You aren’t wrong. And I am not wrong. It’s what we prefer. Good grief.

Well, the next time I go to an "authentic Mexican" restaurant and get served Louisiana Hot Sauce like I am at Colosso Taco I will let you know.  I doubt it will be anytime soon since I have probably eaten at over 100 Mexican Restaurants throughout the US and Gramma Mora's still holds that unique distinction.

Hey, again there are no wrong answers… everybody has different preferences and tastes…

Any place serving Louisiana Hot Sauce and having no idea what Queso Fundido is should never be allowed to call themselves authentic. At best it's watered down Mexican food.  IMO, nobody who has ever eaten at a quality Mexican restaurant before could ever tolerate that...Chipotle kicks that places ass.

We tried El Palenque when they first opened up and were not impressed. They've been there a while, now, so they must be doing something right. We'll have to try them again.

It's not my favorite but it is still 50x better than Gramma Mora's.  La Tolteca would probably be my top choice...the Parillada(for 2 people) is amazing.

Gramma Mora's on Hertel in N. Buffalo has always been good IMO. Wife loves that place.

    Are you kidding me??

This is the WORST "Mexican" Restaurant in WNY...just terrible and unauthentic as can be.  They had no idea what Queso Fundido was that I regularly order in most other places, so I told them what it consisted of and it looked like they brought me watered down macaroni and cheese sauce with some weird looking sausage in it.  Then I asked for hot sauce and they brought me Louisiana Hot Sauce in a generic ketchup type squeeze bottle...no Cholula, no El Yucateco...Louisiana Hot Sauce. Food was bland and the salsa was runny like it was out of a jar.  So bad that we almost got up and left mid meal.  Left half the food and was the only Mexican restaurant that we didn't even want a box to take the leftovers, it was that bad.

I would rather never eat Mexican food again than go back to that joke of a place.

IMO, the best place was El Caporal which was on Union Rd near Galleria Dr but that closed many years ago when it got busted by federal immigration officers for having illegals working there...now La Tolteca(Williamsville-hired many of the workers from El Caporal), El Palenque(Amherst), Aguacates(Lockport) and El Amigo(Lancaster) are all good choices.

i kinda feels like people don't remember, or didn't know, what attendance has been like the past few years.

can you blame them?  They miss the playoffs by 2 points but finished with the 5th worst home record in the NHL and the only 4 teams worse were the 4 worst teams in the NHL that had point totals of between 58-60 points, over 30 points less than them.  If they would have even played marginally better at home they make the playoffs easily last year.

they want more people watching them at home, then play like it.

    ^ This.

Some fans blame whoever is closes whenever there is a goal, they do it without looking at the play.  Sometimes the opponents have good players that make good plays, but let’s just blame whoever we see on the tv screen

The complaints about Power are nuts. The kids maturity level at 20 is incredible.

Johnson is a guy we needed.  Clifton will settle in.

The thinking that new players are going to play their best right away and won't improve as they gain familiarity with their linemates and style of play has always been mind boggling to me.  Like how is that not the default common sense thinking process people have?

Johnson is just hammering people left and right...seems like he is bringing that nasty the D has been missing...Lyubushkin had it sometimes and Dahlin has started becoming menacing to a surprising degree, but neither are a "lay the lumber" guy like Johnson is consistently.

  9. The Sabres sucked far too often at home last year and then reinforced it with a no-show opening night against the Rangers.  They were one of the best road teams last year, but not very good at home far too often.

If they want people in the building they need to start actually WINNING games at home and have a winning record.  Nobody wants to go see games where there is a better chance of them losing and looking terrible half the time to boot and like they have no idea how to play defense.

They had the 5th worst record at home in the entire NHL last year.  The only 4 teams worse were the bottom feeders Columbus, Chicago, Anaheim and San Jose and they all finished over 30 points worse than the Sabres did.  That's pathetic.  Why would anyone want to spend money to see that type of crap performance?

Yesterday was a good step in that direction...played exceptionally solid, especially on D and the PK.

Even both Tampa goals were on shifts where they weren't getting a sniff of a high danger area the whole time, until the puck suddenly squeaked out. It was honestly the best defensive effort I've seen from these guys since Winnipeg last year (which was really more of a game where the Sabres just never left the offensive zone)

Tampa zone time was high but I only had my heart jump 3 or 4 times all night

I thought they were exceptionally solid on D last night, even after Samuelsson went down.  Tampa Bay had like 12 shots on goal almost halfway thru the 3rd period.

I do enjoy going - but man that place is a dump.  If i don't have enough time to eat before i go its really frustrating too.  That and being charged 14 dollars for a cream ale.

I'm lucky I don't drink, those prices are crazy! 😬

Usually go to Pearl Street prior to Sabres/Bandit games and just walk there. used to be nice when I worked at HSBC across the street and I would just go park in the lot for free right up close to the front and literally walk 50 feet across the street to the Keybank Center doors.

  12. Maybe he needs to be like...

"Back then, they didn't want me...

Now I'm hot, they all up on me...

Back then, they didn't want me...

Now I'm hot, they all up on me...

    I'm Mike Bales!"

He just needs to get some iced up grills in his mouth and be like

"I'm Mike Bales! Don't act like you don't know my name...

ain't nothing changed but my change, I'm gonna stay the same!

    Before Levi came...

    before I got my fame...

these posters poppin' now didn't even know my name...

    they said UPL was lame...

they said he had no game...

I told 'em Levi was fixin' to blow, they thought I was insane..."

How is that any different that what was written in the post you responded to:

"He was the Tait's butler on SOAP, but he never was the butler on Benson."

So, yes, as stated above, he was the butler on SOAP.  HE WAS NOT THE BUTLER ON BENSON.  He was the Lt. Governor.

He started as their butler then turned into Lt. Governor...I mean what do you think a "Head of Household" is?  It's a Butler. He is the person in charge of all the other staff members.

Or perhaps it's because he never was a butler on the show you keep showing clips of.  He was the Head of the Household or Head of the Governor's Mansion or some other such title when that show started and he was at least the Lt. Governor when it ended.  Perhaps, had it been a British show he still would've been referred to as the butler in the spinoff, but on this side of the pond, even in Connecticut, that role he held was not that of the "butler."

He was the Tait's butler on SOAP, but he never was the butler on Benson.

Maybe you should be pushing for Benson to get referred to as the Lt. Governor?

This would be like claiming an Administrative Assistant isn't a Secretary.  It's a change in title, but the same thing.

You want them to play worse?

No, I just don't want them to be the best line.  Thompson-Tuch-Skinner should be that line on most nights. That line can play the same, I just need better from the TST line.
