Good on you, Evander: https://www.instagram.com/p/BTFQNTzBchP/

The problem is, even if the sources knew, and told Hamilton...he probably couldn't say who Eichel told without revealing his source. Assuming this actually did happen, I'd imagine it's a pretty small group that actually knows it took place. Observational equivalence is a real bitch in these situations. Whether Eichel expressed this sentiment to anyone or not, once the story broke, the agent was going to vehemently deny it either way.

Hey everyone. I think the real Caps finally stood up.

BBQ chicken pizza is delicious. -
I mean, it's a weak excuse, that's for sure, but it's not like I'd hound you for it. I'd definitely laugh about it with colleagues and future classes though  I have an attendance policy, but I don't require students to let me know they're going to miss. Frankly, I really don't much care why (unless it's some sort of emergency which will have a longer term impact). Students are allowed a certain number of absences without penalty, depending on how many times per week class meets. It's on the students to use them as they see fit, but once they're gone, they're gone (barring extraordinary circumstances anyway). Want to miss for OJ? Go right ahead. Just don't whine later in the semester that you're sick and want to stay home but can't without penalty.

Eleven with a bad food opinion. Shocking. :p -
Not a chance. If Murray and/or Pegula think moving on from Bylsma is the best way to win more games, there not going to be deterred by some negative press.
-
What's the worst case scenario here, that it's as bad as it looks *and* Murray was basically clueless on how bad it has been? For instance, what if Murray was being 100% honest during his presser when he said to that point he had not thought about firing Bylsma? In this case, his exit interview with Jack would have hit him like a ton of bricks (the room, the system, the...contract?). Would help explain the progression of the presser from off kilter to airing the laundry with surprising candidness. Furthermore, what if Murray isn't as well schooled on hockey systems and whatnot as we'd (perhaps incorrectly) expect a GM to be, such that he didn't "get" how his pieces were a bad fit for Bylsma's approach? That's basically the doomsday scenario, right? You have a bad/clueless/poor fit at head coach with a GM blissfully unaware of the gravity of the problems. If true, I don't expect any kind of announcement today, as I expect Pegula has some thinking to do. He may well be mulling Murray's fate. Again, that's worst case. But if, and stressing if, it's somewhat accurate...a full sweep makes sense, right?
-
I'm glad someone else put this out, because I was gonna go fill tinfoil hat and suggest Bylsma and/or people close to him are convinced he's out, and this is a way to soften his landing. "Dan did all he could, but at the end of the day there's nothing you can do to fight a spoiled, entitled, kid. Dan is fine. Hire him."
-
I'm sorry that you're so offended by evidence. Are you sure you're not a climate change denier?
-
Agreed, but it's not like we'll ever actually know the unfiltered truth.
-
If he was elected by the players to help facilitate a change, the contract is his biggest chip to play. Of course, if the whole thing is untrue, then *shoulder shrug emoji*
-
Well, of course the agent issues a denial. He knows how stooges like Harrington are going to present this in public. With respect, I'm very, very happy you aren't GM ;)
-
See: my post about the Leafs' possession numbers last season. I know you don't want to believe it because it flies in the face of your "it's all the roster, Bylsma is fine" world view, but team possession is heavily dependent upon the system the coach runs.
-
This is very true. Sutter pressers are most excellent  Subtitle: Young punk taught lesson, dinosaur hockey fans fellate selves.
-
It's garbage because, according to Jeremy White, Eichel was chosen by the players to present the case against Bylsma to Murray on their behalf. And, ya know, it completely ignores the history of professional sports: stars have major power. It's just been so long since Buffalo had a star who could wield that type of power, people forgot what it's like.
-
The narrative should die forever if the players went to Jack and asked him to deliver the team's message to Murray. And yea, it's Hamilton, so big grain of salt...BUT how often does he explicitly say "inside sources have told me...."
-
   The best part about this whole thing is going to be the crusty old dudes screaming about the "entitled kid" choosing the coach. Which is, of course garbage anyway, but if what White said this morning is true about the team going to Jack to be the messenger, then that says it all.
-
I might buy a second Eichel jersey.
-
This is perfect! Though I'm reasonably sure my phone is going to be dead by 2. No, I don't have my charger or an external battery. Fail.
-
No discipline history, no injury. No F'n way he's suspended. He should be, of course, but yea...

Who would win a series between the pre-tank and post-tank Sabres?

There are those who use the Oxford comma, and there are those who are wrong. There are no other types of people. -
I'd say the timing was the most egregious (as in, easily avoidable) mistake among several.

How many Murray critics felt a twinge of hope reading this that everybody could be gone?
