They ran all over the Pats defense and only lost because they beat themselves in a way that I'd be skeptical of them replicating tomorrow.     At the same time, they have enough coaching, penalty, and offensive line issues that we certainly have a path to victory. They are 2-6, after all.

    We could lose basically any game because of our limited offense, but nothing about the Browns is terrifying. They look as dysfunctional as the worst Bills teams of the drought.

    But boy, oh boy does he look exactly like what the Sabres need in their top 6. Big, physical, defensively responsible and putting up points.

    I must have mentioned JT Miller about 3000 times this summer and was regularly shot down. Feather in my cap, baby!

    Steelers and Browns? 8 games into the season, no reason to still be thinking about preseason expectations. Both of those teams are bad and the games are winnable.

    The schedule isn't getting any harder. By the Football Outsiders metrics, it actually gets easier, and they're on track to finish with the easiest schedule in the league in like two decades or something ridiculous. My argument isn't that the team is good, it's that it can fairly easily make the playoffs without being good.

    Cleveland, Miami, Pittsburgh, Denver, and the Jets. They're all a mess. And it's not like Baltimore and Dallas are world beaters.

    It's not. But stolen from Twitter: it's better to be a bad 6-2 team than a good 2-6 team. We're making the playoffs and hopefully add more offensive talent in the offseason.

    Yes. And the offense is clearly more effective with Singletary. Today, at least. It's not like Gore has had only short yardage carries. Why are you arguing semantics when you know well what my point was?

    He's also had normal situation carries he's done zilch with.ong of 6 yards today. Are you honestly going to try to argue Gore has been effective this game? There have been games this year he's played really well, but today isn't one of them. It's okay to bench the vet when warranted.

    Our offense is just bad. Our schedule is a joke and we're making the playoffs, but we still need like 5 starters on offense.

    He's been a liability in run defense because he can't get off a block. Of course, neither can anyone else. And in today's NFL, having a fast defense that's great against the pass and had against the run is a good choice.
