  1. This spin had nothing on some of Thompson's pirouettes while searching between his feet for the puck
  2. Let the dominoes fall!!!
  3. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO IT TODAY SO WE CAN GET THE TRAIN ROLLING HERE
  4. Morrissey - Pionk Kulikov - xxx Beaulieu - xxx Poolman, Niku, Heinola, Luke Green, Bitetto fighting for the x's. You're absolutely right. They're going to be desperate
  5. Scandella, with a 30 second windup
  6. Big Buff update of sorts: "health-wise, everything is good for him and his family." That's great to hear at least. I wonder if he is just thinking about stepping out and retiring.
  7. Ooh, Yerdon got 'em.
  8. I don't like Vesey...but I have this funny feeling that this trade will be on the Skinner side of the spectrum more than the Sheary one at least. (Though obviously nowhere near the magnitude of the Skinner move.) I honestly think so much of Sheary's problem is how little/weak he is. But we'll see. The Rangers aren't a clinic on teaching forwards responsible two way hockey right now and never really were considering their transition game with Lundqvist in back Honestly it appears everyone is slacking this year on the media end of things. Twitter Chad was at the practice and is the only one that has posted them to my knowledge. I'll go get 'em. Sheary - Eichel - Vesey Lazar - Rodrigues - Skinner Elie - Cozens - Thompson Girgensons - Larsson - Oglevie
  9. This genuinely never gets old ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ About 4 hours ago the Sabres instagram posted a "story" showing Cozens trying to defend Dahlin down low in the offensive zone, Dahlin made him spin out like a top, and then walked in front and buried a backhand
  10. Forget about our reaction - we're just fans. The Rangers are generally sensible enough with their trades. They didn't move McDonagh for Gomez, they got McDonagh for Gomez. They didn't give up Zibanejad for Brassard, it was vice versa. They got a first rounder for a Rick Nash having a terrible year. They acquired Trouba for a terrible defenseman and a pick, though that situation was obviously unique because of Trouba's demands. The point is, these guys don't usually get hosed in deals. Thus, I've also wondered just how bad Jimmy can be defensively such that this organization, which is lacking forward scoring depth as badly if not worse than we are, was happy to send a 17 goal guy who's "pretty fast" and big away for just a third round draft pick. They don't exactly have capable forwards lining up to replace him in those spots. What about Jimmy made them happy to do such a thing?
  11. I'd be skeptical of any of those lines winning their matchups
  12. Speaking of Skinner, he was not with Jack today. Sheary - Eichel - Vesey oh boy am i excited for the sabers this year guize
  13. https://youtu.be/K1FuYrcoskc?t=44 This was weak little rookie Sam
  14. Tremaine Edmunds was still the second youngest player to start a game in the NFL in week 1.
  15. This was the critical 4th-vs-1st down spot that I was mentioning
  16. Hoping this goalie coach gets results like the claim is that good goalie coaches can get
  17. You should make the topic a poll!
  18. When this league is bad, it's unbelievably bad. This drive, from the spot on that 3rd down to that delay, is complete trash And Cam Newton is completely broken. Wow is he bad right now.
  19. As the night before the first practice sets in, we ask the hockey gods to bless our team to keep them as free from injuries as possible. This team has enough of a battle ahead as is.
  20. Let's hope so.
  21. I can try again. The dude has played 3 seasons. In the most recent one, you neglect to mention those 31 points came in under 60 games, and so his pace was about 43, which would have put him tied for 25th in defensemen scoring in just his third NHL season. Further, Josh's strengths lay in between his ears and in his legs. He's not an offensive-only defenseman. ie, his continued development is not going to rely on physical development, which is usually what happens to end a typical player's development curve and have them settle in at what they really are for the bulk of their career. Because of that, age is far less relevant to this development than experience. We sang a completely different tune from this "pretty much near his ceiling" at the end of Jack & Sam's third year, and we're going to do the same with Dahlin. Like Anton Stralman, Marc Vlasic, Brian Campbell, I think he's going to be one of those defenders that never stops learning and growing as a player, right until the very end when things start to break down. That's why I really like this deal and think it's going to look good when we're paying Dahlin more than twice as much and UFAs like Trouba see even an increase from what Trouba got. Or when we look at Faulk's contract, which may well be more expensive. That will become even MORE severe 3,4,5,6 years down the line, and then Morrissey is going to be a steal for what I project to be a rock solid #2 defenseman, which isn't an outrageous projection for a player as fluid and smart as Morrissey who's already done what he's done through just 3 seasons
  22. Yeah that's a weird question just because it is to make room for Vesey, who is cited by Botterill and others as the guy that's comfortable playing the right side. So you don't need to move Skinner to the right if you want Vesey on that line, you just stick Vesey in the open slot.
  23. Seriously. I like some of our moves, but every, single, reason that this team collapsed the way it did is going to be at training camp, which IMO is pretty eyebrow-raising.
  24. Pointzzzzzzz I love Morrissey
