I honestly think that's it - I think we're all a little cozier than we usually are during games. I'm not stressing about cooking and doing dishes in the intermissions. Life is good!

I loooooooove these late night games. It's more intimate in here.
-
Sobotka only took 2 faceoffs? Man, while he's on that line, he should take all of them. Johansson is barely over 30%.
-
Also, @PASabreFan, you seemed to get on Phil a bit for his propensity to lose challenges. Your guy just won one, who cares about such details!
-
I thought that would be the kind of thing that you know!

Also I know ERod snark is real, but did anyone see him dog that puck away from the point man, and then find Vesey on that cross-ice pass? That's why I consistently post that he's a good player who should be playing, because he does things like that on a regular basis. I think him and Casey are developing something right now, and I'd sit Vesey for Sheary before I sit Evan. Sheary might just be the finish those two need.

A moment nobody will remember in 5 years, but when Dahlin is Lidstrom-esque in his own zone, it will have contributed.

My brother hates me because the thing I yell at the TV more than anything else is for the Sabres to forget about the play they're developing because it'd get called back anyway, and to tag back up again ? Like, I'm silent for fights, scrums, goals, goals against, but don't you dare score a goal that might get reviewed, that drives me insane because I hate the process so much yuck

If Ralph wins this, it's confirmed that he's an elite coach

I'd bet 5 dollars that was offside Attaboy Ralph.
-
Challenge that, they were offside.
-
I still don't even know how he did that? Did he shrug it back into the zone with his arm?
-
What a beautiful pass from Sam.
-
WOW. And what the hell was that Dahlin keep-in? Magic.
-
What a move by Larsson . It's a shame we're playing Gibson, this team is up 4-0 on any other goalie.

The trip there was a must-call, but the officiating has been putrid so far in this one, I feel like the Ducks have committed at least 2 obvious penalties and a couple of borderline plays. What a goal from Jack. Sobotka, Scandella, and Okposo played large roles in our team's fall last year. They all look brand spanking new. We could lose this game, and it wouldn't change the fact that the needle of this team is moving closer and closer to "definitely good at hockey." They simply do lots of things well in every part of the ice. What a save by Ullmark. And in the last three games, the transition play of Mitts and ERod has gotten better and better, and Vesey has been alright, while still quiet. This line just needs a couple bounces, and we'll have 4 lines rolling.

Scandella made a beautiful pass on the Samson goal (so did Victor). I think we have 16-17 Scandy back, or maybe an even better version. Wonderful. Throw Pilut into the Jets deal and get moar back! -
In the Charlotte airport. Kind of in a rush. The moving walkway is full of people, and they're all moving about a centimeter per hour, none of them in the standing lane, just strewn about the entire width of the thing, impossible to navigate around. Then at the end, they step off, and don't move. about 12 people, just standing right at the end, gazing blankly into space. It turns into a literal pileup of people. These people are all drugged up zombies what is happening

Didn't see the game today (saw the pass), but this is pretty bang on how I feel. I do think he's going to be moved off the line when Tage is ready, or a trade is made, which I'm happy about as far as maximizing our scoring depth long-term goes. He was pretty good up to Thanksgiving or so last season too, so he's one of the guys with a track record of dropping off that I'll be keeping an eye on. But he deserves props for his bounce-back season to this point. And I legitimately appreciate the effort that I did not feel was there last season (it wasn't a running joke that his jerseys were dry on hfboards for months for no reason)

I only saw five minutes of this one (included the Reinhart goal). How was the third period? -

It literally is - it's his first point, and first contribution to a goal, unless you count skating in a straight line towards the goalie while Johansson and Skinner complete a cross-ice roof job goal. As compelling as his 13 point pace season is in a top six role... ? Just yanking your chain. He's been playing fine. Still waiting for an upgrade on the spot, internal or otherwise -
It's possible. it happened in 16-17 though, and started before the most hopeful points of the entire season.

Last year, Eichel was most productive (on a per-game basis) on Saturdays, but Monday was easily his best goal-scoring day. 7 goals in 8 Monday games, and 28 points in 22 Saturday games. He was only below a point per game on Tuesday, with 13 points in 14 games. You're welcome for these utterly useless statistics
