Lot of other useless players I would get rid of way before getting rid of Risto.

He was a -2 last night and the 2 goals against I seen when he was on the ice were not because of him but he takes the -2 for it. Sure he is responsible for some goals against but it sure does seem others don't do their job and the puck ends up in the net alot and he happens to be on the ice and take the minus for it. He just turned 24, no way would I trade him away.

Thats 98 pts, I can't see them even getting to 90 pts right now. I think about 95 is the threshold to get in, so maybe, 18-12-4 gives them 94 and hope someone else falls off but again I don't see them getting to 90.

Yup, they let guys skate, carry the puck, and stick check only in the slot. Every team gets high quality chances from the slot that are basically uncontested. Other than Risto this defense is way too soft.

Once again the Sabres are playing against a goalie who is playing out his arse.

I kind of had enough of Bailey and Baptiste last year when they could produce and stick on an awful Sabres team.

Sure HCPH has them passing better by it I'm not sold on his defensive style. They let guys with or without the puck skate uncontested right down the slot. I think teams have figured this out and until they stop backing up to the goalie and actually take a body and stop the freewheeling in the slot its gonna keep happening.

Too many alligator arms tonight, not willing to take a check to gain possession or make a pass. These guys are too soft, how many time do guys skate right into and up through the slot with the puck and all a sabre does is try and stick check them.
