Amazing, but the guy is a nutbar, IMO.
Hope he has his depends on.

The Canadian Mens National Team dominated Cuba on Friday.
http://www.cbc.ca/sp...anada-cuba.html
Up next Honduras in a crutial match. If Canada wins they are pretty much assured of advancing to the final stage of qualifing for WC Brazil 2014.
Go Canada!!
EDIT: Just double checked and a win or draw for Canada in Honduras will have them advance. They could still advance with a loss, but the odds against them in that case would be huge.
Go Canada!!

Happy birthday (assuming your profile is accurate)! Hope it's a good day and weekend.
Bump ...
Thanks Bio. It is and it was.
Slow day on the Fantastic meter.
Off to meet my wife at our Bosnian friends home.
With any luck they will feed us ... Fantastic!!

I've heard that too.
As long as the Nats EXPOS win tonight, I really don't care what happens to the folks in pinstripes this afternoon.
Fixed ... ggguuuurrrrr! :censored: !!

Nice. I might have to pick up this CD. Stern was playing this song from the new ZZ top album a few weeks ago. He played it over and over so it was stuck in my head for awhile
Awesome!
After listening to the link in your post I have to say it looks to me as if they bought their soul back after they sold it on that Terminator BS of an album. I love their early stuff and this effort has brought them back to their roots.
I like!!

I debated where I should post this ... awesome thread, Fantastic Friday?????
Decided to put it here ...
I usually don't pay any attention to anything ESPN has to say, but I just heard that A-Rod, the prima donnaest prima donna of all, will not be in the Yankee starting lineup for the elimination game today.
:w00t:
Looks good on that jerkoff.

Finally the Canadian government, through the border agency, gets one right ...

The comments at the bottom of the linked article speak for me.
My Canada does not include the likes of this clown.

Complaint: everything I've touched at work in the last 2 days has turned to ######.
That seems to be the theme in this thread today.

A co-worker of mine is a mushroom hunter / expert and often talks about all the great edible mushrooms he finds out in the woods near his home. It's a beautiful fall day here in NC and he asked me to go on a mushroom hunt in RTP during our lunch hour. We hiked around the woods for a half hour and were about to give up until we came across some chicken of the woods mushrooms We were able to harvest about 6 lbs of these, and I took some home to cook for dinner tonight. Awesome.
That may be awesome for you, but it looks poisonous to me.
Then again, they all do to me. I hate mushrooms ... ! Make that 'power ' !!

When a star player admits to diving for penalties it boggles my mind why FIFA would move forward with goal line technology before addressing this issue.

Bio,
Thank you for the bday wishes. My profile is accurate and it was a good day.
Now ...
My (very lame) complaint: mangos. If they weren't so delicious I would say to hell with them, because they are exasperating to prepare. I feel like I waste half the fruit trying to find edible material around the weird and ill-formed cartilaginous pit.
Is that the word of the day?
Anyway, mangos are like that by design. So, one will never be able to eat a whole one. If one did they would likely have an explosive bathroom moment. Possibly similar to what weave happened upon. Not pretty, indeed.
I love mangos, but am always careful never to go overboard.

Happy Birthday to inkman and rickshaw.
Hope they are awesome.

I miss the fall colors. It's just another reminder of the beauty of God's creation.
Fall and early Spring are my favourite times of the year.
Alhamdulillah!

As an aside for things that are awesome, things are happening pretty quickly down where we live. Since my wife's grandmother died a couple of months ago, we paid off our minivan and got our title yesterday. Now we're getting really close to buying a house and closing on it before the end of the month. After that, we're going to apply for an adoption.
Sorry for your loss, but I am really happy for you and your wife that things are going well.
Congratulations on all the good news and good luck with the adoption process.

 D'oh!
;) ...
And why would your stomach hurt.
I felt a sypathetic twinge just south of my stomach.

Why would they do this? Because the oaks are just too lofty? Because living on a lighted stage approaches the unreal? Or is it really just a question of your honesty?
I grew up listening to Rush. Good Canadian boys, but not as huge a fan as many on this board.
I have to say it ... this post is outstanding and nudging into awesome territory.
Well done ... .

For some odd reason, reading this story made my stomach hurt.
See post #36 ... :P .

For the Rugby fans out there ...
http://edition.cnn.c....html?hpt=hp_c4
I don't follow the sport. Never really understood it. There don't appear to be many rules, from the few matches I have watched.
My cousin is a huge fan, player (in his younger years) and coach.

My sister gets back on the field for the first time since tearing her MCL this Saturday in a match up of Daemen vs Elmira. She has been doing sprints and cutting, and planting, and finally did kicking drill last weekend. She started fully practicing this week. She'll be playing at a center-mid position. I'm excited for her.
Hopefully her return went well.

The Canadian Mens National team takes on Cuba in a must win match in WC 2014 qualifying on Friday (Oct. 12th) at BMO Field in Toronto. The fans are ready and will be rocking the house. The team smells blood in the water, but better not look past the Cubans to the next match against Honduras.
