Win or lose, this is not a good sign
-
Yea exactly, both have sucked independently of one another haha We have given up 1 scoring drive, are winning the turnover battle, and losing haha
-
No doubt Manuel has been bad and inaccurate and holding this team back. But let's not pretend that our WRs arent having a terrible game catching what balls do get to them
-
Yea no kidding. This is the type of game I half expected though. I we just played a strong fundamental game this was an "easy game" Way too much to ask
-
Graham didn't even seem to be paying attention to his man
-
Year our 3 teammates of ullmark, possler, and the great swedish one
-
A turnover and personal foul will do just fine. Just fine indeed
-
how about instead of blaming coaches we blame the players. 4 drops so far today, and an amazing false start on third down in the redzone. Good lord, hopefully the texans enjoy beating themselves more than the bills like to hurt themselves.
-
man do bad teams love beating themselves. With the bills committing a wealth of penalties this season (and today discovering drop balls can kill drives too!!!) and the the texans with jj watt trying to take out manuel's legs every play lol
-
CUT HIM lol

The swedish stamkos strikes again. 3 Goals (4 points) in 6 games baby
-
Its nice, but its no:
-
Well someone is complaining about our pipeline 3 games into....the preseason
-
"I'm not putting on stamkos' jersey" Lol
-
Oh give me a break. If you expect prospects to make an impact "today" then you are just being irrational and following no sense of logic. Armia was picked in the second half of the first round and wasn't trelated to this rebuild or regime, stop bringing him up. Two years before armia got here you weren't asked to suffer, we were in the playoffs for christ's sake. Its the preseason and you are not understanding why an 18 year old hasn't adjusted to the nhl. This is the nhl, thats how it works 99.9 percent of the time
-
Very little promising....can't tell if serious?
-
Drafting the best forward in the draft class is not unacceptable Samson doesn't have any skill that translates to a noodle arm If you expect top picks to translate a year after you draft them, or if you think that was what was rammed down your throat, then you are a little mis-informed and want to double check what gets rammed down your throat (I had too...sorry). Draft picks take years to show results. We drafted ristolainen and zadorov a year ago. Neither were top 5 picks. They arent going to show a ton of NHL results yet. Samson was drafted a few months ago. He isn't going to show NHL results yet either.

Would anyone object?

Haha, I know you wouldn't know this but the swedish stamkos is the first player I moved up in the rankings so far (he was below everyone you mentioned until I updated the list. Funny that you mentioned this. I'm a little higher on him than most low draft picks just because I have a thing for the SHL. But arguing over the rankings in the 35-45 range is all opinion in my mind and I think anyone could argue for any of those guys to be ranked ahead of each other. Chances are, neither adam of olofsson get a permanent spot on the sabres. Also, the way I rank everyone is by what I think a realistic ceiling is for the player as of now, and what their chances are to reach that ceiling. All those players I gave the lowest ceiling (bottom 6 ) with the lowest chance of getting there (1/5). So they all are ranked in the same category with one another, its just someone has to be listed first. THe hope is some of them do enough this season where they can move up in the categories. I'm not more educated on our prospects than you anyone here, that's for sure.

GDT: Carolina at Buffalo 7PM Sept 23 Preseason WGR 550 No TV
Johnny DangerFace replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
This is a great point. I think everyone agrees he belongs in the AHL, but that's just not an option. It's decently a grigorenko situation. However, I don't think going in the NHL when you aren't ready is a path that should be taken -

Okay updated the list to get ready for the season. The last year of having ruhwedel, adam, hackett, and samuels-thomas on it :flirt:

Then that sounds like a communication problem. GMs and scouts need to find a way for stats to help them and I think they have a strong place in the front office. However, a GM should also acquire people that he knows fits in the coaches style and will be used right. That's on both the coach and GM to do. But again, I don't fully see why the coach should invest much into stats for a lot of reasons. One, that's not sonething he has ever done. He has become an nhl coach for a reason, he needs to stick to it. The last thing I want is a coach not doing what he knows best because of stats. Also, stats are very powerful, but also very confusing. It takes time and skill to use them property. With stats it's all about context and usually other stats. If you don't properly understand how to use it correctly, it won't do you any good. Having an old school coach try to adapt to it could he a disaster. So IMO, a front office should use stats, as much as possible. I'm new school when it comes to it. And a GM needs to communicate with a coach the strengths and weaknesses if a player and why he was brought in. However, as far as nolan being aware if any stats, applying stats, keeping up with stars, etc. I don't think it's required. Again I could be missing something and it going over my head, but I don't think this is an issue in the slightest
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would want the GM and scouts to be down with stats and use that in player acquisitions. The coach on the other hand, not a big deal if they don't use stats.

I thought penalties were a big factor yesterday. The biggest? certainly not. With that being said, this wasn't any terrible reffing, it was just stupid penalties by the bills at stupid times.
