Thanks for the info. I was hearing stuff about her possibly being dead for her mugshot or killed by police, but didn't know where it was coming from

I'm completely ignorant to the situation, but what's the big deal with the Sandra Bland incident? Seems like an unclear situation with lots of jumping to conclusions? Sincerely curious

lol I love this. JJ ignorance is the best type. His views on racism are only rivaled by his view on statistics. Classic JJ

The analogy of anti-texting legislation to guns is anti-shooting people....the analogy of gun bans to texting is banning cell phones in the car. It has no place in a gun debate. Also the amount of gun violence is irrelevant to why people want to ban guns. One the number is too high. Two, just because it is decreasing doesn't mean the amount of crime that is caused by people owning guns isn't highly significant. I like how not being able to own a gun is having your life controlled though

It's beyond dorky. There's a much better way to pick up girls than a cheesy party.
-
Someone has said unless rape occurs at the party there was no predator. Maybe I'm taking it out of context? But I do believe this party is fine (very dorky). I think women should go to it. I think everyone should have a great time. My one and only point this whole time has been this has the potential to be predatory behavior. I don't know what's going on in anyone's head there. I highly doubt it's predatory behavior, but it could be. That's all. I think it's a fair point, I'm just surprised so many people believe there is no way in hell this has the possibility to be predatory behavior. Very surprising

I'm saying I have no idea what will go on there or what the girls or McCoy are thinking. If it's an extremely naive girl and McCoys crew there promise her fame and fortune and she buys into then who knows? But the reason of that analogy is because the arguments used on why this can never be predatory don't work for my example. Adult girls, willingness, lack of force, etc. I'm just saying there can be a power dynamic and some big time manipulation. If done in a certain manner, that can be predatory. I'm just surprised no one can see that. Edit: there is no way this party can be used as a vehicle to manipulate a girl iusing a "combination of money/job/career as coercion?" That's my point
-
Iv repeatedly held the opinion that something that McCoy is doing can be predatory. Who knows if it is since I don't know what he's doing and I don't know the girls and I don't know what will happen. It's a little disappointing that the possibility can be so easily dismissed by so many. But oh well, that's opinions. I would love to see the argument that strip club owners or some in the porn industry can't be predatory if they only work with adult girls who willingly got themselves into the situation and were asked to "join." Also, using the argument that it is offensive that girls can't think for themselves is absolutly perverting what I said or Hoss said. Just because I envision a possibility that an adult girl can be manipulated and used in a situation someone planned, does not mean I don't think girls can think or protect themselves or blablabla. I'm saying anyone can be manipulated or be faced against a predator. It's not dismissive, and a generalization like that is always a poor (yet sadly effective) argument against women's rights in plenty of situations. It's also a joke to think someone can only be a sexual predator if they physically force someone into sex.

Man, if only their players were good

I just strongly strongly disagree with all of which you said. Ill leave it at that.

Not in my opinion. Same with young girls who willingly go to vegas to be stars who get taken advantage of by creepy ass strip club owners. Those guys are predatory in my opinion. But I guess in everyone's opinion here, they arent because the girls willingly went there and found themselves in the situation? Those club owners know who to look for, and know exactly what they are doing. Most girls would never go to this Shady event because it has too many red flags. Events like this attract a certain personality, Shady knows that. Again, my view is this is a gray area and I could argue either side. I could argue strip club owners are predators who manipulate young girls who willingly got themselves into situations. There is a target audience here going into a situation they could very possibly be naive about. The guy throwing the party may very well know that and could use manipulation to achieve some goals. Thats predatory, sorry. Think of it as a bugs bunny trap haha. Most would see it a million miles away, some don't though

Let's pretend one of your (whoever i'm hypothetically speaking too) 18 year old daughters got invited to a all female party, with confidentiality forms, and many older men. You would be comfortable with it? You don't think their is potential for your daughter to be a victim of manipulation by someone who has a goal. I'm not saying this is predatory behavior, but it is more of a grey area than most of you are letting on. How many guys at the bar have that big of power imbalance than the young women? And a lot of the normal guys at the bar can be considered predators, I have no problem saying that. And I agree with you about there is a gray area of "should have known better" or not, and that's my only point. A millionaire celebrity isn't experienced compared to a 21 year old girl possibly enamored by money and power...Surely you can see the power dynamic still be heavily shifted towards one side. THere is still an age difference, and i'm sure there will be older guys than shady there, and there is much bigger power imbalance in this situation due to other factors money/fame.
-
Hypo since no one is agreeing with Hoss. Is a 50 year old man who flirts with and gets a 16 year old girl to come to his house a predator? I think so because it's taken advantage of a situation to manipulate someone to be used to achieve your a goal. In that example the victim is young and naive and the man has the age advantage. Now add 5 years to the girls age, and millions of dollars to the man. Still a form of manipulation and same phenonenon going on imo. I don't think a 21 year old girl enamored with a millionaire celebrity is any less naive than the 16 year old girl, nor is McCoy any less aware what he is doing. That would be my argument at least. A predator is not necessarily require to be on the offensive or getting someone who is trying to get away.

I'v never had a problem with people using that language here, but no doubt it adds to the "closed community atmosphere" people complain about sometimes.
