  1. I'd like to say this was just clueless but seeing how he replied with a smartass remark in the comments section, it appears that he is just trying to up his viewership/page views/clicks by being "controversial".
  2. More proof that Internet connection + stupid opinion + poorly researched "article" + website that will publish anything = drivel that passes as either A) a bad attempt at humor or b) 10 minutes of the reader's life wasted. The guy who wrote that has no clue WTF he is talking about.
  3. Yep. As an FSU fan and alum, I've seen that play all too many times. Although it is slightly better than the previous OC's favorite play, wherein the D would jump, the C would snap it - and the QB would quickly take a knee.
  4. That's a Rick Trickett special. He coaches his linemen to freeze when the defense jumps offsides. I am not a fan of it, but they've been doing it for a while.
  5. Yep. And Rayner simply wasn't good enough, so bringing in guys to see what they have in case Lindell goes down again is OK in my book.
  6. Bradham is a very good, fast athlete. His issue is in reading the plays and instinct - sometimes he gets caught up in the playaction and sometimes has a little trouble "sifting through the garbage" (to borrow a phrase I saw on another board - TSW, perhaps?) but he is a big hitter, fast, and can cover pretty well. Zebrie Sanders was just a steady, technically sound OL at FSU. He wasn't overpowering and seemed to struggle with rushers using power moves. He needs to hit the weight room and get stronger, but he does have good footwork and is pretty solid overall. Everything I've read about Tank says that his stock dropped a lot because he played with a bum shoulder this past year, but that he's an athlete and a couple experts think he could be a starter after a couple seasons.
  7. Another Nole and more OL depth taken with the pick of Zebrie Sanders. Loving it.
  8. Bradham highlight video. Watch him destroy the UM WR at 1:54. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4myfOIVCJk&feature=share
  9. Loving the Nigel Bradham pick, but I as a Nole I am biased.
  10. From ESPN's insider: What he brings: Graham is a dangerous open-field runner, both after the catch and in the return game. He just needs to improve as a route runner, and he's more than capable of doing that with good coaching. How he fits: The Bills have been looking for a guy to take some pressure off Stevie Johnson. While they had a nice three-receiver package in the first half of last season, it tailed off badly in the last two months. They have good complementary guys, but the need is for a No. 2 on the outside, and Graham may be more suited to play in the slot and as a return guy, but the Bills are already good in the kicking game. He looks more like a depth pick than a No. 2.
  11. Only if he's a Polish white kid out of UB.
  12. Good read on the pick and the FO's thinking: http://www.buffalone...e?twobillsdrive Bills starters Terrence McGee and Drayton Florence are getting older. McGee wil be 32 in October. Florence will be 32 in December. For the long term, the Bills figure to put Gilmore next to Aaron Williams, last year's 34th overall pick. Williams is a rugged, 6-foot, 200 pounds. The Bills should have two physical corners to match up with the new wave of big wideouts in the NFL. "I don't think you can ever have enough good corners in the NFL," Bills coach Chan Gailey said. "I believed this 10 to 15 years ago, and it's even more so today. You have to have good corners. This gives us an opportunity to have two good young corners to work with that are athletic. They're both over 6-foot. They're fast. They can run. They're hitters."
  13. This. As someone else posted - McGee has bee made of glass the last couple years, Florence was terrible last year, and Corner is a depth guy at best. It's not a sexy, high-profile pick, but it is an area of need and according to most experts, Gilmore was the BPA. I would have preferred Floyd but the off-field issues were a little unsettling, and there are a few good WRs in this draft.
  14. I've stared at that photo for an hour and I'll be damned if I can find the CN Tower in there. Must be one of those optical illusion photos.
  15. If so, I retract my shot at the mods with a full apology. I didn't see it but then again, I was pretty bleary-eyed this morning after little sleep last night.
  16. The "complaint thursdays" thread was not opened until 10:15. Mods are slipping.
  17. Nice day, got out early (in anticipation of a hellish 16+ hour workday tomorrow spread out over two events) and heading to The Q for some AHL playoff push hockey.
  18. Got a similar situation at my job. The head of HR is also taking on duties that would conflict with her role as HR head.
  19. I was supposed to have the whole day off for Opening Day today, but today is the only day that me and the other two leads on this project/event (which takes place next Saturday) can meet until next Thursday, which is too close to the event for us to cover everything we need to cover. So that means my day off just turned into a half-day.
  20. Another complaint - since someone quoted one of my posts from Page 1 of this epic thread, I went back and started reading the thread, right from the beginning. The complaint: this thread was much funnier four years ago. I might change my opinion when I get past page 15 or 20 but for now, I am actually finding myself laughing out loud at some of our conversations.
  21. My "finally the damn headache went away, well after work ended" complaint: the general public is insane and is filled with jerks, morons, and ######.
  22. I'm not going to even get into the context of the post, but did you really just reply to a post from nearly four years ago? Thank you.
  23. Waking up with a headache (not hung over or drinking related).
  24. My gut says the job is Garrard's to lose, even though he was off all last year with a back injury.
