I would never, ever, profess to knowing crap about football. Yet, it seems like Bills fans got so used to crappy QBs like Losman, Johnson, Manuel, etc for so long, that everyone was content with a lackluster QB in Tyrod. Good for the Bills at taking a chance on something better.

I agree with your theory, in general. I also think a $10mil and a $7.5mil contract is plenty enough positive affirmation. A message needs to be sent, and it’s seeming like Housley doesn’t know how to do it. 27 freaking games into the season, and they’re doing something about the apathy just now???

Scratch Eichel and ROR for a game or two, and reward a couple Amerks with a game or two in the NHL.

I can only go from the mid-80’s teams up until today. The team has always been watchable. I pride myself in saying that I’ve only missed a handful of games since ‘96. The tank teams were tough to watch, but at least they had players that were trying despite a lack of talent. This is the first season where I’ve found myself not able to fully pay attention to the games. Last night, washing my dishes was more entertaining than watching the end of the 1st. Once I noticed the score was 2-0, I never went back to watching the game. There’s simply other things that I’d rather do than waste 2-3 hours watching this team. It’s sad to hear myself say that. For many years, Sabres games are something I’ve always looked forward to, and missed dearly in the summer months.

If the team was doing well, would we even be discussing this?

Buffalo fans have become so negative about everything, it’s hard to wonder how it translates to the players and coaches of the teams. They are nice jerseys.
