I’m an RK fan. I know he’s trying to turn a pile of dung into a birthday cake. Yet so many of the decisions are becoming increasingly puzzling.

I’m trying Tondas. I’ve only missed I think 4 games since 1998. Im at my breaking point. I spend money on tickets, parking, food, jerseys, TV, and trying to raise my kid to love them, but I really feel like the people in charge really don’t care at all. I feel like the Sabres are now the winter car getting neglected and rusty with no oil changes, while the Bills are the shiny Rolls Royce. If the people in charge don’t care about the people supporting the team, then maybe I shouldn’t care either. I Am Duane.

I’m probably done with watching for the season at this point. The Skinner “usage” looks like my breaking point. 3rd on the active roster in goals, and barely gets a sniff at the end of the game, and no minutes in OT (but Erod is out there instead). You can either try to spark a “struggling” player by putting him on the top line (like we’d be screwing with a winning streak anyways), or relegate him to 4th line minutes. At $9 million a year...I’m not convinced anyone knows what they’re doing at this point. Oh, and I’m sure this will look attractive to any potential good free agents.

I keep seeing Vesey on a line with Eichel and Samson. Seems to be working out well.

Whoever posted that we only need a 2C and 3C is way off. We need a 2C, another 2nd line winger, and an entire 3rd line. MOJO would be great on a 3rd line, so maybe we need 4 players. Better pray JBott has an actual plan for this offseason, and stop trying to rush Cozens like we’ve done with so many other shiny new toys in the past.

So, some genius somewhere thought some little kid was gonna top Okposos performance of 11 names. This is classic failure. All over letting a little kid stand there in the tunnel while the players come out? Something that they would probably cherish and remember forever. Disgusting.

Don’t need to read any game summaries from the media, don’t need to hear any post game interviews, don’t need to read any posts on here. This gif tells it all.

I don’t blame him. And what he’s saying is actually much calmer and more rational than what a lot of the other fan base feels, just for perspective. I love Sabres hockey. I’ve seen almost every game since 1998. Going to college during the day and working nights, taping the games and watching them late at night - looking forward to it. Then juggling 3 jobs, taping games - looking forward to going home and seeing what happened. Working all day now, then getting excited knowing it’s a Sabres night. The games have always been something I’ve looked forward to in my life, but my excitement is really starting to drain out of me. 9 years of crap in a row, but like the caller said, it’s more than just the product on the ice. It’s deeper than that. The handful of games that I’ve attended this year - I didn’t get any feeling that the people in charge cared about the experience or the details. This started way back with the “Fan Fest” that was completely disorganized, and it’s just kept going on.
