  1. Trade a high quality player that will be in the organization for a decade, probably at a decent salary cap hit, for a more expensive and shorter term player. I think any trade would have to include a salary dump on our part. Just take the pick Who traded Brandon McNab? I can’t keep track of the revolving door
  2. Trade the pick? Hmmmm.... https://buffalonews.com/opinion/sabres-gm-kevyn-adams-should-take-a-different-approach-by-trading-no-8-pick/article_157a2d1c-b800-11ea-9cf1-93ac3b10550e.html If the player is young and good and we have for a long time, yes. Has to be a near perfect deal, though.
  3. Yup! With room to grow, too!
  4. I’m not saying they are a Stanley Cup contender with only better goaltending, but it is the biggest problem on this team now if they want to be a playoff contender. Yes, more scoring up front will be required, but if you can’t stop the puck, it won’t matter if you add Leon Draiseitle to the line up, they’d still lose
  5. I sure hope Kevyn Adams doesn’t agree with you. I hope he sees that this team was basically without a goaltender for as much as 40% of its games and played real well when Linus was playing and healthy.
  6. I think the team is fine, add another goalie, fix the PP, get Skinner going and hope the prospects pan out, draft well, and go! This is already a good team. We literally had a goalie last season that couldn’t track the puck.
  7. At some point the financial losses are going to hurt and that will start lawsuits over who is and isn't going to be paid. Would not be surprised to see sports francises go bankrupt before too long, just to get out of paying when not playing
  8. This sounds really big and widespread just judging from the article. Parents must be horrified to learn they sent their boys off to this. I hope the press does its job and presses for more answers about this. If it is widespread then people need to held accountable and players need to speak up. They need to speak up to protect the next group of innocents from being thrown into this nightmare.
  9. Carter Hutton wants to know who his optometrist will be
  10. You mean having a goalie that literally can't follow the puck is a bad thing?
  11. Sabretooth was pregnant!
  12. Yes, I bet! “left (Carcillo) permanently traumatized. He suffered severe mental health issues which were not present before the abuse he endured. He continues to suffer from these mental health issues to this day.” Young men get treated this way and we wonder why they go out at parties and rapes happen. The pressure to win is so great that they have to mentally destroy these young men so they have a slave mentality? This is horrible
  13. I just don't know what to say
  14. I’m in the middle. The Pagulas seem clueless which is disturbing. But on the other hand I still think the team is close to being a winner.
  15. I think there were two separate issues here. The cost cutting was going to happen anyway, I mean the league has zero revenue coming in. The JBott thing isn’t about saving money, I think they are still paying him. I think firing JBott was just rolled into the cost cutting moves though they are separate issues.
  16. I can’t help thinking that Hutton giving that interview saying his eyes were bad last season was the reason JBott got canned. Think about it, would that be a secret you’d want getting out? Obviously the press didn’t know, but who else didn’t know? If the Pagulas learned about that from the Buffalo News last week, then I bet they were angry. Did Ralph Kruger know? They kept making the point yesterday that they wanted more communication. That fits the narrative here that they were not told our starting goaltender couldn’t follow the puck! If I were JBott I wouldn’t want the Pagulas knowing that either unless you were ready to find another goalie fast. Once the cat was out of the bag you would have been in an impossible situation with Hutton. Can’t trade him, other teams would know they have you in a bind and we look like a joke, which we do and that’s why Botts is out, IMO.
  17. I think it's the new sports economics kicking in. The team--well, all teams--don't know where the money is going to come from next
  18. And I see it totally different. The way the team started with Hutton and then he lost it, so Ullmark did way better but Hutton still got his five goals against starts, but we were hanging in there until Linus got hurt and it was a nosedive, we had to play a minor league goalie. Ya, it was the goaltending, most important position in the game. Sure, we could use more scoring. I get that.
  19. I chalk up last years failure to some bad luck, Hutton and Ullmark getting hurt just destroyed us. And that terrible PP which should be better
  20. I'm sure Duffer will be tough on him! lol But you are right, it should have been his show.
  21. And maybe that works! Who knows. Adams seemed pretty well connected in a hockey way to good people around the league. Maybe him and Ralph just work well together.
  22. Get another goalie and fix the PP and we take several long steps forward. This team played well at times with a goalie that couldn't see straight.
  23. I think the team is absolutely heading in right direction. That press conference was a disaster but Kevin Adams has a great opportunity here. The defense is sound, they have one really good goalie, there's Jack and a few other talented people and Kev Ad might look like a genius by doing very little. Add a goalie, fix the PP and add another scoring winger and we are off and running.
  24. Communication? I really think someone got real pissed off finding out Hutton had an eye issue and no one told Terry about it
