I was down on him most of this past season BUT I will admit he finished really well.

I suggest he really is a 3rd line winger on a real good team

Cozens and Tage being in good form for the entire season, UPL not regressing and the PP becoming average

If Poltapov was in Rochester last year, I think he would be in the top 6

I would have take less than a bag of picks to get rid of Skinner and saving $7.4 million on the cap

He's a good 3rd line player. I agree, I think he remains there to start the season as 3rd line LW

hockey news has a interesting article about him today, you might want to check it out Jets have an interesting decision to make soon The price to get him would be really steep. id like to see how Benson does with Quinn and Cozens before I start thinking about trading Kulich and Östlund.

Yes, sorry too much sun I suppose 2nd line winger it might not be realistic for him to double his production BUT with PP time and playing on a line with Cozens and Quinn - it would be possible

Am I the only one who thinks Benson will be a productive 2nd line Centre? if they are going to add anything, I would want a legit top 4 RHD still have plenty of ammo and cap space to acquire one...assuming there is a team willing to trade one

Sure , but I could say the same about Savoie. Finished the season a year ago and had a short stint this past year.

I have to say he was much better in last years playoffs than he was this year. Didn't do much and I believe lost his role on PP1 eventually -------- Here is why Zucker is a much better need for this team that Jeff Skinner playing down the lineu “I’m not afraid to be at the net, stand at the net and kind of take a beating net-front throughout a game. I think I have a knack around the net, too.” Quote not by Skinner.

I'll also assume it's an easier to replace a 3C than a top 4 Dman.

You would rather Jeff Skinner on your 3rd line than Zucker? and a 4th line of KO, Girgs and Olofsson is just as good as the one they have now ?

Out with 4 guys who won't be missed Olofsson, Girgs, KO and Skinner. and 1 guy who will be in Mitts add in Quinn, Malenstyn, Zucker. Aube-Kubel, Lafferty I'd say they are improved I'm pretty sure top 6 refers to top 2 lines but anyways..

Actually no I don't see any semantics the orignal post said the top 6 was better last year and I disagree. Now if you want to compare the top 9, then I can agree. has nothing to do with Skinner. IMHO, not having him on the roster is a net positive. I believe, The team is better off with Zucker on its 3rd line than Skinner The downgrade has everything to do with Mitts not Skinner Here is how I look at it Skinner, Tage, Tuch < JJP, Tage, Tuch JJP, Cozens, Olofsson < Benson, Cozens, Quinn Benson, Mitts, Greenway > Zucker, Krebs, Greenway and the 4th lines aren't even close as it's much improved fill in the 3C with an improvement from Krebs is the last piece
