  1. Was it packed today? Was thinking of heading down with my son on Friday morning.
  2. I thought Thomas was pretty much untouchable. Hope I'm wrong.
  3. I thought the opposite, more likely he gets traded. Also, cant imagine keeping ROR after it coming out that the Sabres were willing to trade him away for draft picks.
  4. Sabres top 3 LHD in 2 years Dahlin Guhle Samuelsson Pilut
  5. Would love the pick if he was a righty Coach at USNTDP. "Big , mobile, mean, physical and very good defensively "
  6. Hands down - Wilde
  7. All thes players are now a roll of,the dice. Why not roll the dice on the guy who has the most talent - Bode Wilde. A right handed shot to boot. I'd be happy with Noel as well. Brings an element that the Sabres don't have
  8. Great spot for Merkley
  9. You spelt Nils Lundkvist wrong
  10. No and prob. OT in Rd 2 either. Weak year for goalies
  11. Great eye for talent Liger
  12. I picked up the Draftin Europe draft guide this afternoon and it has led me to change my mind about pick 32. Now leaning either Nils Lundkvist or Niklas Nordgren.
  13. Latest Mock draft from the Athletic's Pronman has Dellandrea and Berggren going in round 1. Jay O'Brien #3 on our list?
  14. OHL prospects Blog's Brock Otten is thinking that Dellandrea is now going to be picked in the top 20.
  15. Scandella's contract is coming up, sell him now if you feel his value is at its peak Sabres would definitely be trading from an area of strengh LHD. I thought so too but then read a story about how important TJ Oshie's positive attitude was for the Capitals and how important his team mates thought it was to bring him back. O'Reilly's doom and gloom attitude has to go, its unfortunate because he is a very good player of hockey. what needs to be added to the Pacioretty trade for ROR for you to be interested? assuming its not the #3 pick
  16. Any kid that plays in London has a chance.
  17. If every player in GA's top 6 tiers gets drafted in round 1 (except Dellandrea) thats 27 players off the board. Sabres would then be guaranteed at least one of Skilled forwards - Dellandrea, Berggren, Foudy, O'Brien, Marchenko. OR RHD Lundkvist Im pretty happy with any of the 6 names above..
  18. Thanks for posting this. Wilde - no, too many issues though RHD and skill level alone would make him an easy pick Thomas - maybe - Good Prospect, good motor but more of a playmaker than goal scorer Bokk - Yes, but again I expecct him to go in Rd 1 McLeod - Hard No, doesnt play with intensity and hockey sense has been questioned. Sandin - Hard to pass over another Rasmus but he is a LHD. I would trade down a few spots as he would be in high demand if still available. Kaut - Maybe, not the greatest skater but is a good all round winger. Miller - No, probably gone in rd 1 anyways but LHD is the one slot I would not take. Dellanndrea - Yes, run to the podium Olofsson - no, smart 2 way centre. Will be a good prospect but the Sabres need high end skating/skill Merkley - no, see Bode Wilde Berggen - yes, run to the podium McIssac, Alexeyev and Samuelsson- No, all good prospects but none have the offensive abilities needed for such a high pick and are all LHD Gustafsson - No, 2 way center with skating issues Groulx - doesnt bring enough offense Lundkvist - Yes, RHD smooth skating RHD Addison - Maybe, RHD offensive Dman but big questions on his D play Marchenko - Yes, Size, speed and skill. Tychonic - big fan of his game but LHD is not a priority Foudy, O'Brien and Wise - all would be great additions to the Sabres
  19. If I was thinking of buying a jersey, I would definitely wait until the 50th anniversary edition. They have to go back to the original Blue then, right?
  20. I agree. Exactly what the Sabres need, could he fall enough to the point where they could make a deal? so no to Merkley and Wilde.
  21. any idea what is going on with him? is the conditioning issues something from the combine? If you are going with a flyer at 32 im taking Merkely over Wilde/
  22. ROR? Montreal isn't that crazy though are they???? They do really need that C If Bob's top 31 go exactly that way. Who are you taking at 32? 1) Merkley 2) O'Brien 3) Lundkvist 4) Ylonen 5) Berggren 6) Other
  23. I thought Wilde too until this weekend. He wasn't invited to the US summer camp for the World Juniors, Corey Pronman dropped him in his rankings due to "off-ice and conditioning issues", whatever that means as I can't find anything else about that. and now from Bob Mckenzie: Like any draft, and like any rankings, there are some wild cards. U.S. defenceman Bode Wilde takes that to a new literal level. Quite aside from the easy pun, Wilde fits the bill. Four of our surveyed scouts had him top 20, four had between 40 and 60. Wilde is No. 25 on the TSN list. It goes without saying, but we’ll say it anyway, he could go higher or lower than that.
  24. Who would you have that is 100% going in Round 1? The obvious are: Dahlin, Svechnikov, Zadina, Hughes, Dobson, Wahlstrom, Tkachuk, Bouchard, Boqvist, Kotkaniemi, Valeno, Hayton, Smith, Farabee, Denisenko, Kravtsov, Kupari Anyone else?
  25. If Wingnutt's rankings hold true, I'd think that the Sabres would have an easy decision at 32 with Berggren Started doing some investigation on Nils Lundkvist today. Sounds intriguing at 32 as well, RD known for his puck moving skills. Another riser on a lot of draft boards.
