  1. Ok. Get a guy who puts the puck in the net now Beecher is gone. Kaliyev is the pick.
  2. I’m looking at Beecher at this point
  3. If sabres are thinking of trading up. I’d do it for Kerbs.
  4. This has to be Zegras.
  5. if we 100% knew Casey would be a 2C, id be much more open to drafting Caufield but since we don't, you have to continue to build Center depth.
  6. Good for Kris! he knows his stuff.
  7. Since I’d take Newhook at 7, let’s do it!
  8. I’d take every player on this list over power play specialist
  9. Don’t forget Newhook, he’s a BCHL guy and will go NCAA route
  10. If Caufield was a right wing for the Guelph Storm, is he a 1st round draft pick ? That’s the impossible question the scouts have to figure out How much was he helped by playing on the wing of the best 17 year old player in the world?
  11. I was about to congratulate Sabrespace for not falling into the Caufield trap as Sabres twitter definitely has. Disappointed to see this mock draft and 3 picks of Caufield Don’t want to say it’s a bad pick but I’d much prefer a center and a guy that can skate and drive a line Caufield can’t do anything without help from someone else
  12. Check out Zegras when Turcotte was hurt and Hughes was hurt and then at the WJC.
  13. Thought he would be a great pick for sabres in 3rd. Today Pronman has him going 30th overall
  14. Please be right. In his q&a on the athletic yesterday, Pronman said that he is hearing Caufield is dropping a bit. No longer a top 10. Teams are worried that if he doesn’t become an elite goal scorer in the NHL he will have no value at all as he can’t play down the line up.
  15. Defenseman Jayden Struble took full advantage of the opportunity. According to NHL Public Relations, the 17-year-old finished first in five of the 18 physical fitness tests: Ranked 70 by Pronman "Skating 60 Puck Skills 55 Physical Game 55 Hockey Sense 50 He's a very good skater who projects as a puck-rushing Dman. Loves to play the body, he's often a force with his body checks. Reputation as a hot temper, and while he plays physical, he can go over the line at times."
  16. yes, I would definitely take him in round 1. Wanted him when the Sabres looked to have a pick around 15 - 17, now he will be long gone by 31. Sabres definitely need to add another Goaltender to the prospect pool 6'0 and 1/4 inch to be exact.
  17. he just got measured at 6'0 at the combine. That being said, he is still #1 on my board for guys that could be there at 7.
  18. not sold at all on him. doesnt drive play at all and is an average skater. Sabres could use some size, speed and skill at center. Dach, Cozens, Newhook or Zegras need to be the pick. Dach provides Size and Skill, Cozens size and speed while Newhook and Zegras bring speed and skill.
  19. Have a hard time with any rankings that would have either Turcotte or Byram at 10
  20. No, but position matters I think when prospects are tightly ranked. with Zegras and Cozens you have the option of center or song. I fully expect Turcotte and Byram to go before Sabres pick. The guy I will be most disappointed to hear his name called before Sabres draft is Zegras
  21. ll be surprised if he is the pick, only because his arrival could be 2 to 4 years off and Botts can't wait that long. That bulldog type player is exactly what the Sabres could use though, among other things However, centers are still the greatest need. thats why I have guys like Cozens, Zegras and Newhook above Boldy, Caufield and Pod
  22. it will be interesting to see the reaction if Podkolzin is the pick. Dangerous but worth the risk?
  23. no but in hindsight he should win the Hart
  24. this is an easy question to answer - find yourself the next Binnington.
  25. At first I would be disappointed with Caufield at 7, especially if a talented Center was still on the board. Mainly because we already have smaller wingers like Skinner, Erod and Olofsson. Pod would be a disappointment too because he won't be around for 2 years and I don't want to wait that long. I loved Broberg at the Hlinka last summer but the questions of his hockey sense (since then) scares me, plus I really feel we need a forward, preferably a center.
