1) Samson Rienhart if he is traded Sean Monahan will be the Sabres 1C next season, keeping the seat warm for Beniers or Cozens in a year or two

Beniers is projected to be a 1C. Just more of an ROR than a McDavid type.

I don’t mind if all the players in the deal from Jack are 20 or younger but they must have a veteran number one centre for next season. Maybe it’s Samson? Maybe he stays , gets the C. He was surly on his end of season call but didn’t burn any bridges. Can you have a captain that dislikes the media and vice versa? Jack on the other hand......he not only burnt the bridges but every neighbouring village was set aflame I, in fortunately, think there is no way for him to come back

I agree. But it interesting that at least 90% would trade Jack. I thought there may be a larger “let’s try work it out with him” contingent. I doubt Turcotte or Byfield or in AHL next year. Actually, I believe, byfield is OHL or NHL.

I’ll drive Eichel to Anaheim for those two I don’t see why Anaheim would do that. Not nearly as deep prospect pool as LA. Besides Geztlaf, do they have another aging vet that would put them into the “win now” category?

I do agree, they need another Center to hold them over for a year or two. doesnt have to come from the Jack trade though. Im seeing what it takes for Calgary to move Monahan. i dont agree with this at all. they have 2 young goalies. need 2 vets next year IMHO

If Jack wasn’t the captain I do believe that they would be able to work through all this garbage should never had him go in front of the media right after having a contentious exist interview. It would be an interesting trade a week ago, now it’s a home run if that’s the deal you could potentially land Beniers and Clarke RHD Or even take Powers, instead of Clarke, if you want a safer pick If Samson won’t sing LT then a trade to the flames for Monahan, plus a prospect Or maybe a bigger deal for Monahan and Tkachuk for Samson, Risto , Oloffson or maybe ..... Watch after all this day dreaming all 3 be back next year 😂 If he would accept the trade , certainly fits the bill as a veteran leader the team will need

Samson seems to be trending up and Tkachuk down in their Careers. I know Calgary isn't happy with Monahan and he's expensive. maybe bring him an Tkachuk for Risto, Samson. Gets the Flames out of the Monhan contract (through 22/23) Monahan would be Sabres #1 Centre< Shielding the young Centers on the team....Cozens, Mitts and Beneirs.
